Hey all

As we all know, we're trying to figure out the last minute details of our taxes. My question is (and yes it may have been answered...but hey, I've been at work the last 3 weeks and haven't VJ'd much biggrin.gif )

They ask my marital status as of Dec 31 (Married, uh huh yup!) and then they proceed to ask for my spouse's SIN etc......what do I do with it? Leave it and add a note on pretty papaer explaining the situation or ignore it or what?

I don't expect to claim him for anything since we only lived together here in the US.

Thanks in advance!!!!!

I phone revenue canada, and they said to leave it blank. I wrote that my Spouse was USA citizen who has never worked, nor resided in Canada! If ur using a Tax pogrom, u might have to type in 000 000 000.

I agree with flames, and that's what I did this year. 000-000-000. Other than saying I was married, I didn't include anything else of his.
