Well finally mananged to start my own credit, applied for a visa card, didnt think i'd be approved for it, but lo and behold card arrived in mail, granted my name was mis spelled but the new card is on the way!!!

I as well got my credit started 6 months ago.

I'm curious about something. I added my wife as an authorized user on my credit card. Will she start to build a credit rating using my card or does she need her own?

If you gave her social security number when adding her, then her credit is also building. Its always good to co-sign for your spouse and make sure that you help her build credit, though if the card's payment record is bad, both of you will have a bad credit.

So this is a double edged sword!
