I want to share an excellent news today with all you guys who are waiting for their I-130 in Vermont Service Center.

Our I-130 has been approved on 04/12/2008. I got an email, but couldn't believe my eyes. Then checked USCIS website, it showed my case is approved on 04/12/2008. Again, I couldn't believe it, then called USCIS. The representative confirmed that my I-130 is approved and will automatically transfer to NVC and I-129F will be invalidated. I am really delighted today

This is the normal I-130 processing, no expedited and no DCF. Guys, you are next in line !!!

Secondly, Can I ask when you actually mailed your I-130?
I mailed my at the end of December but when I look at my NOA1 it says the USCIS received my wives application on February 6th(which is bullsh!t to me because I paid for tracking and they received it two days after I mailed it)
Just wondering what your NOA1 date said.

I am totaly lost,some people apply in august and notihing for aproval,and I apply on september I got onlu NOA1,nothing else they sad that is a rules I don't see the ryles we are like in las vegas on gambling who is lucky

One sad thing is I wanted to inform this news to my wife. But she is not picking up the phone and sleeping very well. She, her sister and Parents are in Malaysia and Singapore for 7 days holiday vacation. I had a fight with her today morning, every day she calls me and asks what about her visa. Whenever I pissed off, I used to say I am not the son of President Bush and it will be ready by Dec 2008. Poor girl, she doesn't know the happy news until tomorrow morning...

Latest update...

I called (due to anxiety) NVC automated line (603) 334-0700 and got the feedback "case not found". I know that it would take around 2 weeks for them to enter the case in their system. I am going to use James Shortcut.

I have to cancel my trip to India next month to see my wife now. May be, will postpone it when she goes to the consulate for visa interview.

Thanks Hyd617. Very sorry to hear the folks who are ahead of me and still waiting. I can understand the frustration. But I pray to all of them to get the approval soon. You will also have a day like this soon. Don't lose hopes. Yes, now USCIS does not have FIFO system. It depends on which officer processes your case.

One thing I noted is if all the docs are present and very clear, they would be happy to process without the delays (I may be wrong too). Here are the docs that I mailed as part of my I-130.

1. Completed and signed form I-130
2. Filing Fee $355 payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security
3. Copy of my Naturalization Certificate to prove the U.S citizenship
4. Completed and signed form G-325A and photograph of the petitioner
5. Completed and signed form G-325A and photograph of the beneficiary
6. Copy of our Marriage Certificate
7. Copies of Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties having personal knowledge of the bona fides of the marital relationship
8. Copy of my Birth Certificate
9. Copy of beneficiary’s Birth Certificate, School Record and Passport
10. Copy Certification (FC-029)

thanks lots of patience.. even i sent in all that stuff too. i gues i have to wait until an officer piks up my packet.. but i caled up VSC last friday , lady told me to wait about another month for my approval.. so lets see bye!

I would never normally agree to such a thing being a lady, but I think I'd be overjoyed to be touched by a complete stranger at VSC at the moment

First of all, let me thank everybody for your well wishes !!! It has been great pleasure with you guys at VJ by cracking lot of chuckles and comments. It's your time now to get the approvals and I would like to see all happy faces here soon!

Thanks to KipandSarahJayne and Sgr again for your chuckles. I wanted to touch my wife in May before USCIS touches me, but USCIS killed my dream touch by postponing the May India trip Now I am planning to visit her at her visa interview time. She still doesn't know - sleeping at a hotel in Malaysia with her parents.

Sgr, I was able to see my case online on 02/24/2008 for the first time and there were no "touches" (USCIS :-)) since then, but the status was approved today morning.

One thing is sure, USCIS is working hard (not hardly) since they have sent my approval on a Saturday - Apr 12th.

Another record approval! Congratulations!!
I think this coming 20 days we will see many approvals from Nov., Dec. and possibly some more from Jan. at VSC...
Keep us posted of progress with NVC!

I can just imagine her all asleep and not happy with USCIS and dreaming of all sorts of ways to get the approval .... or maybe she will have a super nice dream that the approval has at last arrived, and be blown away when you tell her in the morning
You must be pacing the floor in anticipation of telling her ..... maybe you could send 'We're Approved' on a note attached to a delivery of flowers for when she wakes up ???

Until yesterday morning, she told me to quit the U.S and come back to India. It will be her birthday gift since she turns to 26 on April 16th

Not yet... She is on a holiday trip in Malaysia and Singapore with her parents and sister. They moved from Malaysia to Singapore yesterday night. And their cell's SIM card is done in Malaysia. Now she will call me after getting a new SIM card in Singapore. Tomorrow is her birthday...
