Then I could hear some background noise such as - Dad, my visa petition approved and hang up the phone since her cell's battery was low.

After 10 minutes, call came again.
She) Are you lying ?
Me) Yes, I am lying on the bed and dreaming about you
She) No, I am asking are you lying about visa ?
Me) No, it is approved
She) I love you darling
Me) So, if your visa had not approved, wouldn't you love me ??? (I am confused)
She) No, always................
Me) ok, when will you be back in Cochin (India) ?
She) On Friday evening

Then her dad picked up the phone.
Dad) Son-in-law, then will you be coming to India in May ?
Me) I am postponing the trip to July/Aug
Dad) No, you come here next month as planned, I have already booked the hotel and tickets to Darjeeling (Himalayan Valley in North India). If I cancel them I'll have to forfeit those. We'll take care her medical and visa related procedures...
Me) Then, ok, I am coming Dad...

so, I am going to India next month, then letting her come alone to the U.S after the visa interview in Chennai U.S consulate. She is so haaaaaaaappy and it was a nice gift to her

Sgr, my real "Visa"'s magnetic stripe is completely worn, so it wouldn't work in India

She is not a big spender, but an average spender I hope we'll have good time together in May during my short 2 weeks vacation. Finally, one shy thing - this time she gave me a kiss Her sister was in bathroom and her parents were in other room in the hotel, I just made it.

Yes Sarah, I am using James shortcut. USCIS has updated the date on I-130 again today, but status is still "Approved".

Sarah, you'll get it soon, don't worry about years 2025 and 2026 By the time, your grand kids will seek visa back to London, if they need visa at that time I will pray for you and others to get the approval faster!!!

Congratulations...... this is really good news.. and about Case being entered in NVC.... hopefully you don't have to wait for 2 weeks... mine and few others I know of.. got entered in 4 days... so check out this saturday.. your case might already be in... .... and we all understand when you say son of President Bush... I tell my relatives.. that my husband is not a visa officer sitting there and watching just our case... lol..........all this will be pleasant memories soon....

What I can't understand is why they are invalidating I-129F!K3 is still valid visa and I don't know what gives them the right to chose for us.

Once your beneficiary's I-130 is approved, I-129F is invalidated since beneficiary qualifies for immigrant visa. K-3 is non-immigrant category.

I know that but if I-129F is filed I think they should approve it too.I mean if I didn't want K3 visa I wouldn't have filed for one.The question is why they are approving I-130 first and only I-130.CSC is approving both.I know that no one here can give me an answer to that.I guess I'll just have to wait and see if something is going to change.

Now since I-130 and I-129F take same time to get approved, I-129F is NOT required. But this was not the case last year and the past years...

I also filed I-129F hoping it might come first, but it didn't happen. Moreover, I-129F filing is free with pending I-130

Why I-130 approves first depends on the officer who handles your case.

We are working with a lawyer for our case, so it is done through him. We are just praying they have their own shortcut that works ... so about James shortcut you should check with somebody else.. and I have read in many places that NVC updates their automated system on Tuesday and Saturday..so you can plan your calls around these days. No point calling daily and getting the same message and feeling frustrated... Please do check about online payment before you go ahead with it... the other VJs who have tried didn't have a pleasant experience and nor did the transaction go through. All the very best....

Thanks Neethope. There is no strict rule that NVC updates on Tue and Sat. My case# assigned yesterday and that's Wednesday. It took only 4 days for NVC to assign the case after I-130 approval, same like you

Neethope, did you get the notification from NVC that "Received DS-3032 / I-864 Bill" ? What stage are you now in NVC ?

Our IV bill and AOS bill have been generated and sent to our lawyer as on 4/14..that is where we are.. this we got to know from the NVC automated system.. good to know it works on other days and not just Tuesdays and Saturday
