So close....

The Red Baron
Not sure how long that takes i beleive it is only a couple weeks someone can correct me if i am wrong. Im also excited they are processing our 130 now so hopefully NOA2 shouldnt be too far off. smile.gif Then we can all Join in with Julez and wait for our interview smile.gif
Poiteen
Shouldn't be much more than a week for packet 3, and then a few weeks for packet 4, once you've returned the DS-230 and checklist. good.gif
The Red Baron
Whats Packet 4?
Poiteen
It's the letter telling you when your interview is, and some info about the Medical, in case you forgot since packet 3 wink.gif tongue.gif

Wow... Got packet 3 yesterday the 13th June and now the wait again begins for the police certificates.

My hubby is a bit complex cause he needs 3 of them.. one from Netherlands, Bahamas and Uk. So all in all about 2-3 weeks till i can send it back in.

Not too bad i think.. 2-3 weeks then another month till interview. I hope we can be out of here by end or beginning Sept.
Or sooner...
The Red Baron

Our file date is 4/4/08.......all we've got from them so far was the email confirming that. Waiting....waiting....waiting.

I'm flying home end of June and my husband is staying here until September. Can't wait till this is all over!!!

Well they must have reached my filing date (26 February), because we got an RFE in the mail yesterday. Starting a new post on that..... sad.gif

Hey Thomas, how did you get on with your RFE did you send it back yet? any news?

We finally received word back from our RFE and we must not have sent enough proof because we were called in for an interview a month after sending in the RFE. All seems to be back on track now, and we are just waiting on that NOA2 and Packet 3!!!

Basically we returned exactly what they asked for (3 affidavits from colleagues/friends vouching for our bona fides and proof of joint accounts.) What they really wanted was info on our weddings (civil and religious), pictures, emails, etc. Our story is one of love at first sight, meeting, getting married and living the last nine plus months together (3 of those in long distance), so the embassy wanted the down-low.

We hope to receive NOA2 and Packet 3 within the next week or so, because we have had everything ready since mid-May.

Hopefully things will keep on trucking.

Thomas

Oh dear....that is the worst part I think when it looks like nothing is happening. I can remember several times when it just sat there and the date never changed....or after two weeks it moved 4 days. I was going beserk. BUT...one day it completely jumped forward and suddenly they were a week past our date. Then things just moved so fast. Glyn and I cannot honestly believe that we are leaving on Wednesday. We both keep saying..."are we really leaving on THIS WEDNESDAY???".
Hang in there....its hard...but it will happen.
The Red Baron
Thanks Guys,

Someone explained to me that the date on the Embassy website shows the oldest form they have and are still working on so that is in a way alittle comfort. The weird thing is its not like we are apart like alot of you guys applying for fiance visas we have just had enough of england smile.gif and immigration + bureaucracy = night marthanks for your thoughts guys
Glyn and Kathy
Red Baron, I was just looking at your timeline in your signature. I did the EXACT same thing with Glyn's application for his police certificate. I totally got so excited sending it out, I forgot the bills and the copy of the passport. I got an email from them and ending up scanning it all in that day by email. I kicked myself so hard that day.
The Red Baron
Yeah the nice lady from Acro called and im all like yeah your calling because im a wally and i havent sent in my copies she laughed and said it happens ALOT heres me thinking it was just me smile.gif

We are doing DCF through London as well. We received an RFE for our I-130 at the end of May, sent back our affadavits June 16; Received NOA2 on June 3 and our Packet 3 today. We hope to have both the DS-230 and the checklist mailed out Saturday, how long do you think it will be before our Packet 4 with intervew date arrives?

And does anyone know how far out they are scheduling the interviews right now?
Poiteen
Hi Andrea!! Have you been lurking all this time?? I can't really answer your question, but for me (back in april) it was only about 2 weeks between returning packet 3 and getting packet 4. I can't say for certain, because mine was in my neighbours mailbox for at least a week before I found it (only a week before my interview).

Well anyway, your on the home stretch, and good luck with the final bit! xx
The Red Baron
I was looking at the timelines and it looks like anywhere up to three weeks for the next packet. That being said i know someone who got theirs the following week so who knows.

Excited yet Poíteen?
The Red Baron
wow got packet 3 in the post today
Poiteen
Whoooo hooooo!! That was a nice surprise.

Finished work now, so on the home strait. I've been saying goodbye to people, but I don't know if it's really hit me yet. I am getting occasional butterflies though. I honestly don't know how the K-1 people do it. I'm so glad that we are going through this whole moving business together.
The Red Baron
Yeah im actually getting excited and nervous all at once work is quiet so we spend alot of the time trying to look busy which isnt good so i spend alot of time thinking about the process. Had a slight hiccup in that i hadnt prepared well enough for the checklist i thought i had the right birth certificate and it turns out i dont. Mum and Dad were never given the long ones nor did they ask for them. So i ordered one priority then i have to get them certified and i can send it off. smile.gif

Im wondering wether to book my medical before i get my appointment. What do yous think?
klemmers
YIPPEE

Almost over.

Had the medical done on monday which was pretty quick and easy. Getting there in the heat around London was the worst part.

Interview on the 14th August.... and then we are DONE!!!

I am so excited that we are so close to being finished. Never thought it would actually go so smooth.

Good luck to those that wait still...

Isnt it a relief and Stressful to be so close to the end. We cant wait for it all to be done and have the visa in hand smile.gif
Poiteen
I think the last part is so much better, yes you worry, but at least theres stuff you can do to prepare and keep yourself busy with. The first part is just waiting and trying not to think about it too much. Cos if you do you go crazy.

Congrats to Klemmers, not long now... star_smile.gif
