Well, in my case I asked personally the consul if there is any chance if i can pick up the visa since im only in the vicinity of metro manila.. but he said he cant decide on that however he told that to window 37 that im requesting for visa pick up. the officer told me unless it is emergency..anyways its ok..

No formal/informal letter is required. Simply request to pick up the visa from the Consular Officer (CO) at the conclusion of the interview. You have a 60/40 shot at your request being granted. It really all depends on the CO that handles your case. Good Luck...

It is always worth a try requesting a visa pickup although the chances are very slim. You can ask the CO personally once the interview is over but if you can provide a letter written by your fiance, that would help too. But like what Sheriff has said, it will depend on the CO if he or she will grant your request. Give it a try. good.gif
