I-130 approved on 03/17 ; I keep checking the NVC automated number and it still says "this WAC XXXX could not be found".

Called USCIS, they keep saying to wait for another week.

Any words of wisdom on when I can expect the NVC to assign the case #

Call NVC ant talk to the operator

It will be on the actual NOA-2 you get in the mail Rocketta. It's the USCIS receipt number. When you call the NVC to get your case number from them, this is the number you will enter on the automated system to first hear if your case has been assigned a number or not.

nothing will appear on automated system with K-3 or K-1 you have to talk to the operator

I received the I-130 approval notice on 03/25 and in that they clearly stated that it was fwded to NVC

When I call the automated response and enter the WAC number ... this case could not be found.

Spoke to operator almost every 4th day, and I have been told to wait for another week.

One thing to note is that I do have I-129F (K3) still pending. There was a RFE on I-129, which I have already responded and waiting for approval

It is my understanding the I-130 and I-192F are two saperate paths, my expectation is that I-130 approval would have reached NVC by now and I am assigned a case #

I am little lost here ...pls. advice on the next steps I could take

WAC # update only appear on USCIS website. So you might want to talk to the operator to get an update on your case.

can u kindly update your timelines? its no way of knowing when u applied, where etc without that data.

April 11th .......RFE received by USCIS


My confusion is that .... is NVC waiting for I-129 ? .... it is my understanding that I-130 is totally independent of I-129F .... am I wrong ?

ODD, I was approved on 3/26 and I got a HARD copy in the mail as well for my I-130 and when I call USCIS, they tell me that my I-129F will not be approved. I am wondering if this is the reason why they are holding off on issuing a case number on my I-130??

Any one have any ideas on this???

I have a quick question for you. How long does it takes the NVC to review a DS -230?? I was told by an operator that they received my documents on April 7th.

Also i was told that my hubby has a RFE....they said it was sent during the week of March 31st (todate nothing) i dont even know if i should believe anything these operators says.

In my case the USCIS is saying that they have sent the I-130 approval to NVC .

I did apply for I-129F, but USCIS is saying that it won't be approved and that my I-130 was sent to NVC..... But I am not understanding because CSC send their petitions to NVC in bulk and their are tons of other people that got their case number already that were approval on the same day or after mine. USCIS also told me that they have checked my file and that there is only copies in my file... I am hoping it didn't get lost.... This is another delay....

When I called NVC they advise me to give it 90 days for them to receive and input into their system...what the heck!?!?!?? Others that are coming from CSC that were approved after me already have a case number
I don't know what is going on... I don't know if it has to do with my I-129F still being looked at or what??? But when I have called twice about my petitions both times they tell me NO that my I-129F won't be approved... But come on already, what's up with my I-130 case number..... More waiting

I noticed by what u wrote ur sent in ur petition for I-130 in july, was ur case selected for security checks at uscis??

I received RFE on I-129F because I had missed fill a subsection of part C (my bad)
