So after 12 days of AP for the K3 visa, my husband got the call to come for his Visa
He received his Visa from Casablanca on April 10, 2008....
TOOOOOOOO HAPPY!!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif heart.gif heart.gif heart.gif
Just when we thought he would be coming home.......the same night exactly I got my packet from the NVC stating that Tarik now has his CR1 interview, again in Casa, on May 15th, 2008..
just cant believe we now have to wait more
so surprised this happened so quick
we filed these one month apart and now we are interviewing one month apart
I just hope things run as smooth as K3 did and when we got 221(g), I was sure we would be indefinitely in this black hole, but GOD IS WITH US!!!!!!!!
good luck to all of you still waiting
ok
if anyone has ANY information on their CR1 interview can you please share?
I think we are in for a bloody round of financial slamming for this one, not to mention the run around

So when your spouse/fiance arrives in POE...you can choose ANY international airport to fly into?
AND the place where we, americans go thru immigration,we go thru quick. Our spouses are the ones waiting in that dreadful long line???)
just wonderin wacko.gif

Staying and gettin the CR1 visa would eliminate the need to adjust status after arriving in the USA.

Of course the OP can simply use the K3 visa and adjust status, thereby avoiding any additional waiting abroad. It's up to them.

I will try again to explain
hired a lawyer....applied for K1 because ultimately I want him to live and work here permanently
due to the wait time for K1 they advise you to file the K3 (temporary for spouse visa) so he can come quick...
so he got the K3 on April 10 and the same night I got the papers for his K1(or what they call CR1) interview....
I cant believe it AND on top of it they put his wrong birth year on his visa that we just haggled to get
I CANT BELIEVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
can anyone please give any advice what to do???
should I tell the consulate I want to postpone the CR1 and bring him here quick and do the things later OR have him wait the one month do it and be done??????
also should we contact the consulate now of this mistake on visa to avoid any severe disruptions while going thru POE here???
Only had about a minute to relax and be happy for our TRIUMPH now back to darkness
I just dont know
thanks for all you guys who respond it means alot
good luck to you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMO stay with the k-3!! contact them and tell them about the mistake in the visa and it shud be fixed in no time at all... another person in MENA had her husband as a female on the visa and it took only ten days or so to get fixed. and u never know how long wd CR-1 take! or what complications u find again later on!!

Congratulations on K-3 and try to enjoy !

Personally, I'd just buy a ticket and get to the USA. The wrong birth year on the visa, shouldn't cause any problem entering the US. Clearly the visa itself is valid.

You can deal with the date issue during your AOS filing. Ultimately, the visa will probably only get him into the US one time and all future travel will be with a correct green card. Even if you do use the visa to enter more than once, I don't think anybody will compare the birth year on the passport to that on the visa.

You have a visa. Get going.

Congratulations!! My husband and I are reading these posts as we just got married the 9th of may and are already working to get his paperwork going. My question is for financial reasons we were going to do the paperwork ourselves and after reading your post it looks as if the k3 is the way to go. Can you tell me the time lines and other things your husband needed to submitt with paperwork? I am in Casa now but leave Saturday and would like to make sure i have all necesary documents in hand. I appreciate any assistance but once again Congratulations
