Well, I've been waiting for 90 days since my NOA1. No news about biometrics appointment so far, and no EAD... Is it time to call to USCIS?

My cases have been touched several times. Application for Employment Authorization was last touched a month ago.

It's time to make an infopass appointment at your local office to apply for an interim EAD, since you are now eligible.

I'm sorry to hear of your news good luck to you on your infopass appt

My wife received her EAD yesterday, almost 120 days after the NOA1.

I can't imagine that phoning them could damage your case, but your EAD is probably imminent anyway.

Thank you, everyone!

One more question: May I apply for SSN with interim EAD? I arrived to US on a student's visa, and I was not eligible for SSN. So I've been waiting for EAD to apply for SSN.

Yes, interim EAD is as good as a one-year EAD. They look the same, just the validity period may be shorter.

Hopefully you will find out in your infopass appointment that your EAD was approved and you just need your biometrics done.

If so, the Immigration officer can schedule you immediately to get the biometrics done.

Good luck

Hey

I am in the same boat as you I applied in November 2005 - and we just have to hang on in there. It so frustrating - but what can we do. Organise an appointment with info pass - they are helpful more helpful than calling 1-800
