Hi everyone! I am planning to go home to the Philippines after I get my Green Card. My name in my Philippine Passport is still my single name and it will expire on May 2009. By the time that I come back from the Philippines I'd probably still be using my old passport. The question is, will there be a problem if my name on my Philippine passport is not the same as that on my Green Card because that would be my married name? Or I'll just bring with me my Marriage Certificate? Please help. Thank you.

NO no0pb.gif This is a very frequent question.

Book airline tickets using your passport name, not your green-card name.

Carry a copy of marriage cert just in case they question the different names.

My wife has her passport in her maiden name and the greencard in her married name. She has traveled to Panama, Mexico, Colombia and India without a problem (we buy the tickets in her maiden name to match the passport). She doesn't even carry the marriage certificate as she has never been asked for it. Relax and have fun

Hi!

My wife and I live in Florida. SHE has a Colombian passport, U.S. Green Card and U.S. Social Security card. Does she need a U.S. Passport to travel to and return from France?

Thanks much!

Varying a theme -

My (Korean) wife and I (US Cit.) are in a similar situation. We're flying to Korea this winter to visit the in-laws, and we've already gotten tickets. The problem is, I bought her ticket in her married name - which appears on her green card, but not on her passport. Will it be OK if we bring other ID (marriage certificate, drivers license, social security card, green card, etc.) to the airport? Or should I try to change the name on the ticket?

Thanks very much!
