is there a way to track your NOA before they send you the hard copy in the mail?
we sent our I-130 ppwk to Chicago April 2nd, we haven't gotten anything back in the mail yet - I know it's super early, just wondering how you can find out your receipt number before they actually send it to you

If you used a check, you can see the case number on the back. They just cashed mine and the number is hard to read. So either I am totally reading my number wrong, or mine isn't in the system yet, so I am waiting for the paper copy now. They actually received my case on the 3rd and the check was cashed yesterday, the 10th

we used a money order - guess we have to wait for the hard copy

oh and the number on the back of the check was different, which explains why i couldn't find it online. so snail mail FTW this time

The number on the back of the check seems to be one digit off from the number you receive on the hard copy NOA-1. Anyway, nothing to track for several months, so sit back and enjoy the silence.
