Hi All,

In the instructional letter stated "You must provide the original and one certified copy of your birth ceritificate". Did you have to get the copy of the certificate certified? or just make a copy and turn in with the orginal. are there any other copy documents need to be certified? Like copy of ID Card, Copy of Household registration, Copy of passport, etc. Thanks in advance.

If you are Vietnamese, here is what you need to do.

1. Translate to English of your Birth certificate and your fiancé. If the translation was by you, it must notarize with your signature. Make a copy of your and fiancé, also bring the original at the interview, because CO will ask to compare it.

2. Make a copy your Mother and fiancé mother Birth certificate, no need to translate (but I do it to myself, who knows what is going on). Also bring the original with you at the interview.

Hope it helps.

About ID Card, and Household book: I heard about you no need certified it, just make a copy as long as with the original one at interview (I translated both to English for my fiancé).
