Yes, the I-134 needs to be notarized.

The I-134 needs to be notarized OR (as written on the form itself) "If you are outside the United States, the affidavit must be sworn to or notice affirmed before a U.S. consular or immigration officer." In other words, you can go ahead and send her a notarized I-134 or you can just print it and wait to sign it in front of the person giving the interview at the U.S. embassy.

I would just do both, print 2 copies. Have 1 notarized and send it, then just bring another one with you to sign in front of the consulate. Just in case smile.gif

Why not save yourself the trouble and have the I-134 notarized here in US? Make sure to have an extra copy... for emergency cases.

Agreed... Mae, you give such great advice. If you keep this up, I'm going to solicit you to be my life counselor. star_smile.gif

yeah, this is my case also, I am here in Philippines since January, and I did not know before that I need to notarize my I-134 so I called the US Embassy yesterday and they said it is not necessary if I am going with my fiancee in her interview. I will just sign it in front of the consul.
