I visited my girlfriend in Florida a week ago and I didn't have any problem going through customs.

Jill, I visited Nick just over a month ago and had no problems.

I went through the peace bridge. I brought all sorts of evidence with me, letter from my employer, pay stubs to prove I worked there, bank statements, credit card statements. The officer didn't look at any of it.

I told him truthfully I was visiting my fiance. He asked me when we were getting married. How far along in the K1 process were we. When was the last time I was down in the U.S. He even joked with my dad about getting me out of the house. It was a breeze.

Be confident and truthful in your answers, and you'll be fine.

No interview date... (but i guess i'm gonna feel the pressure from now on )

About the border crossing, (she wasn't too friendly to start with) I said vacation, 3 weeks, she asked she also asked if i worked and i said no and that i was out from school. Then she asked what school, then what was at the adress i was going to visit and i said, i go visit my boyfriend and then she asked to see my return ticket and when i bought it. and she finally let me through... (felt relieved )

Since i am with my sweety, the no interview date is not like the end of the world at least

I find it really strange that they scheduled Rae and nobody else from that time. I wonder what's the big hold up.

I also find it really strange. I really thought I might have some company from VJ on that day! My only guess is that they are actually somewhat honoring when my paperwork arrived and not just when we became officially eligible.
Also, I found out Thursday, so it's only been a couple of business days since then. Time passes so much more agonizingly slowly when you're waiting for something to happen. It still could.

That thought just went through my head too...just 2 business days have passed. That's really not much at all. It honestly feels like it's been more than a week!! I think there's still hope that you'll have some company that day and if not, at least that week.

What's wrong with calling everyday? As long as their no rule against it I would. Nothing wrong with a persistent follow-up!!

Agreed, the only thing it might do (or at least did to me) was deflate me personally every time they told me I didn't have one. But if you *want* to call, do it! One of these days they are going to tell you your date!

That is really weird... next time you call ask them again, see what they say, or if you can get a consistent answer on that one.

It's funny you that should mention inconsistent dates. I remember phoning about Mom's case and being told that the file had been sent to MTL and then phoning the next day (I was going to ask how soon I'd be notified) and being told that it was still being reviewed. I phoned the next week and again was told that it was on its way to MTL only to be told that it was still being reviewed the next day. I phoned the day after that and was again told that the file was going to MTL, I didn't phone again since I though it might be a good idea to quit while I was ahead.

This is such fabulous news!! I am so, so, so happy that you got your date! Finally, after all this time.

Me too!! I'm in shock. I called Jeremy, woke him up!! I'm just so excited!! It's perfect too, I won't have to miss my kids' graduations (8th & 12th) and it totally screws up my work schedule to my favor. Meaning that someone else will have to take my group of new hires that week lol. Plus I get my next batch of vacation in July so when we get married I can take some time off to be with him. Omg this is just awesome!!

But, you have a graduation to attend the very next day? Won't that be a bit hairy? Well, I'm sure it's better than being the same day, and you will work it out. And like you said, you won't get screwed out of your vacation time, so that is wonderful. Woohoo!

Lol, yea 8th & 12th grades. The ceremonies are the week before so it's all good. I plan to head out that Saturday which is only 3 short weeks from THIS saturday!!
