Full Version: My Wife Is Having Labor in Vietnam

Hello all,
My wife got here in August, 2007. She's now 7 months pregnant and she has gone back to Vietnam to have her labor done over there, because no one here will take care of her on/after the due day . Plus I just got a new job and I am still on probatinary period so I can't take off 1 day a week to take her to the doctor. She got adavance parole papers with her when she left America last week.
Anyway, since my child is born abroad, can she become a USC automatically? That means she can enter US along with the mother (my wife) without any Visa ?
If you have any inputs about this situation please let me know.
Thank you.

You're going to have to go to Vietnam to apply for a Consular Report of Birth abroad and a passport for the baby before it can come back to the US...

Thank you all, I think I have to fly back there then . Is there any time frame that I have to go ? or I can go whenever I want ? I mean before the kid can come to US.
