Pleeeeeeease can someone help? We won't go into it right now, but apparently Alf has yet to pick up his visa at the consulate. And I can't find anywhere on their site that mentions picking up a visa. I'm just a tad bit stressed out of my mind at the moment. He's trying to phone them but it's a long automated menu, so no luck yet. Thanks for the help.

What happen....did he get there late and they wouldn't let him him????

He was busy and didn't go at 2pm. He tried to phone and never got to speak to anyone, so he is grabbing a skytrain and heading down now. I am scared to death they won't let him have it until tomorrow, which is cutting it way too close for my comfort for his flight and other loose ends tomorrow. *sighs*

I'll post when I hear from him again and let you know whether he was able to get it or not.

I'm pretty sure you can only pick it up during a specific block of time. I remember David and Amber going at like 2:45 and being too late and having to stay an extra day.

Thanks for the input. Yes, you can only pick it up at a certain time, so we'll see if Alf can get that, along with everything else that needs to be done, and still make his flight.

lol yeah.. we got to the consulate at 2:50 and the security guy was like "sorry, the lady leaves at 2:45, come back tomorrow" so i gave him attitude etc and went back to the hotel and re-checked in...the next morning i received a call from the chinese man who took all my initial paper work before the interview and asked why i didnt show up to pick up my visa and i told him they wouldnt let us up etc etc... he was like "you should have told him you were here to pick up a K visa" i was like "oh......... we just said we wanted to pick up our visa and he didnt let us up."

so the lesson is, always say you're here for a K visa or else they will be dicks to you.

Ugh.. I wonder if he just said visa instead of K visa? Ah well.. either way he was *really* late, so he'll get it today.

The 3 most important things he has to do today:

1. Pick up visa
2. Get my Timmy's!!
3. Get on that plane!

(not necessarily in that order.. )

Alf's side:

Relo-Cube is all packed and ready to go as soon as they get the copy of his activated visa.

Timmy's is locked up safe in the cube (along with a new travel mug! yay! hehe)

Suitcase is all packed in the car and ready for the flight.

He's on his way to the consulate to get the visa.

His flight is scheduled for 7:48 pm (Vancouver time), and he plans on arriving at *least* 2 hours early.

Christy's side:

Cleaning house... kinda..

Grocery shopping is done! yay! (I hate grocery shopping!)

Sit by the phone waiting, praying, worrying, crying, giggling, thinking, trying not to freak out!

I can't believe the waiting is really almost over and I'll get to look into his eyes in the morning! Dangit... now I'm getting all girly and teary again! I can't wait to grab him and hug him and never let him go again!

i thought visa pick ups were on certain days only... I cant remember what the sign out front says..

That is possible, but thankfully Alf has his visa!!! I am starting to think the last few days have been more stressful than the rest of the process!
