I had interview on April 2008. I submitted all the documents ( UAE Embassy ) I-130,g325,Ds230, I-864, medical examination. I paid more than 2,000 US$ for My son and I.
We did finger printed. And the embassy gave us a blue sheet. It says:
This office regrets to inform you that it is unable to issue a visa to you because you have been found ineligible to receive a visa under the following section(s) of the Immigration and Nationality Act. The information contained in the paragraphs marked with X pertain to your visa application.

They marked : Section 221(g) which prohibits the issuance of a visa to anyone whose application does not comply with the provisions of the immigration and nationality Act or regulations issued persuant thereto. The following remarks apply in your case:
Administrative processing. Case no XXXXXXX

What does it mean? It means my case is approved? Will I get Visa?

Sorry for my silly question.
Thanks

It means denial on this basis:

Section 221(g)

Refusal under Section 221(g) of the Immigration and Nationality Act means that essential information is missing from an application.

In order for an application to be reconsidered it may be necessary to do one of the following:

1. Appear personally for an interview
2. Apply in your consular district, if you had applied elsewhere
3. Submit additional documentation as requested
4. Wait for approved I-129 and I-797 forms from USCIS (United States Citizenship and Immigration Service)
5. Wait for the results of additional administrative processing

You have apparently been put under Administrative processing.

You have apparently been put under Administrative processing.

If I have been put under administrative processing, what does it mean? Will they reject my case or visa?

You might want to post in the Middle East/North Africa forum as you are out of Abu Dhabi. There may be some more wisdom in that forum to help you with the AP processing. Good luck!

Read this....
go to ***removed***

and then fing the link in the forum section for 221g.

then dependant on where you think you are... go to the MENA forum and go through the sticky about this topic.

In the case of 221g there are SOOO many variables. Some people finish 221g in a matter of days. some unfortunately take much longer.

I noticed that in your case they did not ask for additional information (which can at times be a bad sign) but did NOT indicate they were sending your case to the regional USCIS office for review.

I would get as much information from the embassy about your denial and then contact your REP. This can never hurt in the case of DCF. I have been posting, browsing and lurking here for a short time now and have seen very few if any outright DCF denials or crazy long 221gs.

GOOD LUCK!!!

well,,,,,

as i have noticed before, apparently the site that i pointed you to is blocked by the admin of this site..

Very stupid however..

The 221g guide there is helpful and was very much so in our case.

go to google and search for FBI with the last word being "immigration", the second being "based" and the first "family". you will find a 221g guide in the forums.
