I sent AOS fee on March 10, I believe it was processed on March 20th. I called NVC on March 24 to see if the I-864 had been generated and they said it had. I sent I-864 on March 25th by using James Shortcut. It is April 7th and I still haven't received the paperwork via mail for the I-864. I am worried I sent it too soon.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the auto system doesn't tell you that the I-864 has been processed. So my only way of knowing is asking a operator. But what do I ask? Because if I ask if it has been processed and it has't been sent to me yet, they will know I set it before receiving the paperwork. Or if I ask if it has been sent and its already been processed, they will know again.

Hmm good question... I called today and the system had the message saying the "next few weeks" bit instead of the "4 to 6 weeks" one, and I talked to an operator and she said they processed my fee and would be sending the I-864 to me this week. I took this to mean I should go ahead and send them my I-864. Can anyone confirm?

If you call the operator again and he/she says that it was indeed mailed to you, then you're fine.

Diana,

Do you think it is a good idea to generate a barcode for the I-864 RFE?
