i have just been approved for my 10yr resident card but i was approved before i informed them that i was divorced. Now i sent off a waiver I-751 explaing that i am divorced, but i had no clue that i got approved before i sent it off as i had no access to my email at that time

what is going to happen when they get my waiver even though they have approved me?

the way i see it i am being honest with them by telling them i am divorced..in the letter i sent them along with my waiver i even stated that the case was pending as i had no clue it was approved

Well, if the jointly filed application was approved after you had already divorced, then they would need to revoke the decision on the first application(joint I-751) and adjudicate the waiver, and inform you when that has been reviewed.
