Like I said, the good in my MENA husband far outweighs the problems we have been through. He is my angel, not my devil. Difficult? Yes, at times. I can be as well. In fact, my husband and I laugh and joke about it.

I agree you shouldn't read it because clearly you are having problems comprehending what is being said here. No one has said or implied their husbands are devils or bad people. We are just giving some perspective about what a man MIGHT go through when they arrive here which obviously you wouldnt know since you are still in Jordan.

Actually this is a PERFECT example of what people are saying when they talk about fights over misinterpreting things that are said. Now..............................I would hope that instead of flying off at the handle my husband would be the same calm man he is today and try to get a second opinion on what was said, then digest it and act in a nice calm manner. What I would NOT want is for him to go ballistic, start swearing and accuse me of calling people devils.

Last effort here. NO ONE is talking bad about MENA men. I think you are having a hard time understanding what we are saying and you are thinking WRONG. We love our husbands...period, end of story.

Speaking of spending habits....

I am very nervous about this issue once my husband comes. He is very careful with his money. So am I. Iam fairly frugal (have to be on my salary).

But I will still buy a nice cut of beef (angus steak) from the mark down section - or - a some wine/beer - or - some other goodie from the grocery on occasion. When I told my husband about the cost of bread, he said he would make it once he knew how much it costs. I was thinking, "yeah, right. I like to see you make a good bread!"

Also, I'm a tv adict and I have an old color tv someone abondoned on the give-away table in the apartment laundry room. Who can say no to a free working tv? But I really want a new flat screen (37 to 40 inches -wall mounted). My husband has a crappy tv in Iran and never watches it. I am concerned that if I don't buy the flat screen now, when he comes he will try to nix the idea of buying a flat screen.

Another thing....I am going to stock up on some shoes and clothing.

I hate justifying my spending to anyone.
