Hi, My case has just entered NVC. I have few queries. 1. Can anybody tell me when do I need the Immunization record, is it with any packet which needs to be given to NVC(i.e., with original PCC, birth certificate etc) or while I am going to the medical examination just before the interview.
2. I have no immunization records even though I got some done in my earlier years. I am sure there might be many like me especially in India. Which are the ones I need to get done now, and what do I do for the ones already taken but have no records. Anybody who has gone through the process if you could take time and clarify that would be of great help.
Thanks in Advance
Neet

It is needed for medical just before visa interview, NVC does not need it.

You might want to have titers drawn to see if you have immunity to the required immunizations. I"m not sure how this works in India as far as cost to have them drawn, but at least you'd know for sure then which shots you need to get and those you don't. Some people lose their immunity to the shots they received as children anyway and may have a record of the series of shots but in reality have no immunity.

Are you in Canada or India? You posted this question to the Canada forum. If that was not correct you should have posted to the: (Embassy consulate, or IR-1/CR-1 forum)

Hi Neethope!

We just did the Medical in Chennai with Dr. Sanjan John. Please try to find a way to get records for your shots from a Doctor if at all possible - giving shots seems to be a nice little business (expensive!) for him at least. There is a shot that he gives that is apparently not available in India (td) and varicella that cost Ritesh around 3,000 rupees cash - be ready for that. If you do not have records of any kind, it could cost you quite a bundle! (Maybe 9,000!?)

The records are required for the Medical right before the interview and I would recommend keeping a copy for your own records as well.
