All,

Has anyone been able to go to an interview without an appointment letter in Phonm Pehn. We received an e-mail in February stating that our interview is on May 2nd, but has yet to receive our packet 4 or an appointment letter. I also emailed the embassy with my conern and they said as long as she knows her interview date, she should be fine. Just show up on May 2nd at 7AM. In fact, they even told me to have my wife bring a copy of their email as proof. I'm a little worried and confused since my understanding has always been that you MUST have an appointment letter to enter the embassy even though on their website it does not clearly state that you must have an appointment letter. However it's just reassuring that the rules are followed based on what I read on this forum from other countries. Hopefully an e-mail is enough proof. We still have a month to go, but it doesn't look like we are getting our packet 4 anytime soon so we're actually just rolling the dice and hoping that all goes well on May 2nd. Any advice or opinion would be appreciated.

You, or you wife, should go to the consulate and ask for a hard copy of the package 4 .
But since they told you to print out that email then you should be fine. just print that email and bring it to the interview.
Again, I should go straight to the Consulate to get a hard copy.

Yes, that was my advice. Go to the consulate to pick up packet 4. It's only a matter of a few minutes. Hang in there. good.gif

As a matter of fact, that was what I did.

GOOD LUCK!
