hey everyone! This is my first post on the boards- have to say i've find the boards a god send recently! I'm from Lincolnshire and just got my packet 4 today saying my interview is on April 7th, but I can't attend it as i fly to the USA tomorrow to be with my fiance for his birthday (which is also april 7th) so I managed to get my interview date changed to April 19th at 10.30am. I'm so nervous about it already but fingers crossed....

I've put you down for your interview date but I don't know what kind of visa you are filing for or any of your other relevant dates They are really helpful for us to have because it helps other people see what other peoples experiences of the London Embassy and how long things took

Thanks everyone!! Can't believe I got any work done today the way I was jumping around all excited!

So I suppose now we move on to scheduling the medicals. I'm almost afraid to ask but does anyone know how long its taking them to give out appointments? I tried going back through the thread to see if anyone who got late April interviews (like Euro and Yellow_Stars) mentioned anything about their medicals but either they didn't or I don't see it.

Also, I know there was a great post about what we needed for the medical but I can't find that either... Guess my mind is somewhere else imagine that..

As usual, any information would be greatly appreciated...

Congrates Crash amd Cari!

We booked my medical at the start of this week. Mine's on the 4th of April. The girl who answered the phone (eventually, it was engaged the first few times I tried on Monday morning) just asked me when I wanted it. I didn't get my first preference of dates/times, but she did list a few alternatives, which I picked from, so there must be quite a few available.

And to people who have already had their medicals...

Does it really take an hour and a half? (the telephone woman told me this)
Does this mean it's very intrusive?

If anyone can reassure me, that'd be great!!

I already had my medical back in November for my K3..so i got a copy of that to take to my CR1 interview!!

Oh.. thats easy... Wait I'm confused Amanda... You did a K3 AND a CR1?? Am I missing something? LOL

Yes i did both..........sent I-130 at the begining of April last year, waited waited waited then in august got fed up so hubby sent I-129F....it took 112 days from mailing to getting K3 Visa in passport!!...........so i came to Michigan in december, My I-130 was approved in October so decided to follow that rather than waiting bloody ages to AOS!!

AAAhhhhh so you're already in the US.. I thought you were still in England doing the CR1... Doesn't take much to confuse me tho.. LOL

In case somone wants to update the list, medicals for Crash and his son have been scheduled for April 10th..

Forgot to mention that i'm applying for the K1 visa and I sent back my packet 3 on febraury 6th but didn't send the checklist off until march 4. My packet 4 was received on march 28. I'm in Illinois right now with my fiance, POE was good and didn't ask any questions regarding the visa or my fiance so that was good, i was very nervous about travelling so close to my interview date but they never asked me anything about it which was a relief.
If someone could add my info that would be much appreciated, i have absolutely no idea how to do it. I have filled in my timeline, but it won't let people view it, does anyone know what i can do to let others see the timeline so that it might help them? I'm not very good with technology!

Ah don't you worry, it will arrive very soon! If you had your medical and sent all your stuff back then I would just hassle them, that's what I did- I emailed twice a week every week until I got something more back than the bog standard '6-8 weeks' reply. I just explained very politely that we had family wanting to attend our wedding, etc etc. I guess we got lucky but I think they do eventually pay attention to us chasing them.

Wish me luck next week, I'm terified!!!! You will get there very soon

It really was as everyone else has said suprisingly simple. I just had to wait for around 3 hours for around 5 minutes of interview.

Ah don't you worry, it will arrive very soon! If you had your medical and sent all your stuff back then I would just hassle them, that's what I did- I emailed twice a week every week until I got something more back than the bog standard '6-8 weeks' reply. I just explained very politely that we had family wanting to attend our wedding, etc etc. I guess we got lucky but I think they do eventually pay attention to us chasing them.
