Thanks for the phone number ... I called the DOS as you suggested but the nice lady had no information for me as to interview dates. When I mentioned I knew people who were along the same timeframe as us she said each case was different and there was no way to determine when the interviews would be scheduled. We are wondering if our case is taking a bit longer because its not just my husband but my stepson as well so its 2 appointments/cases in one (so to speak).

Thanks for everything and you know I will keep you up-to-date with everything!!

Thanks everyone!! Just got back from london........ with a big fat smile on my face

Ok so we set of for London yesterday (me and my mum) and thought we'd spend the day shopping.....well I had the worst heart burn ever (never really had it before but we reckon it was my nerves ) so didn't have the best day on Tuesday- just basically felt awful!! So had an early night and was up early (shock horror) anyway we got to the embassy at 9.40am for 10.30 appointment and there was no queue and i mean none!!! It made me so paranoid, I thought I'd missed something!! Anyway I left my mum (who waved at me the whole time as though I was actually getting on the plane!!) and went to the security hut place (no zz top guy ) and I just apologised for being early and they were like it fine!! I went through and walked around the outside (my mum was now walking with me on the other side of the barrier blowing me kisses and still waving ) so I got inside had a little chat to the nice man who ticks you in, went up got my number (25) and noticed there was no non-immigrant visas today, just immigrant! I was 8th in line, so after much fidgeting and looking round I noticed the woman behind me was there for a fiance visa so I smiled at her but she just kinda glared at me so I pulled out my book!!

I waited an hour and was called to window 1, I got there and no-one was there!!! So I just got my stuff ready and waited! Then a really nice asian lady came up and apologised for being missing - she needed the toilet!! So she asked how I was, told me it was a nice day to come as it was so quiet, she noticed I was from Blackpool so we had a chat about that, then she asked for my 2 pics, my payment slip, then disappeared to get my folder, when she came back I noticed the red approval stamp!!! She then asked for my birth certificate and police certificate, then my sponsor stuff, she didn't want any of the supporting info, just the form!! I told her I had a co-sponsor but she said I didn't need it ( ) but seeing as though I had it she'd take it (she didn't want any of that supporting info either). She then asked why i'd been denied entry, I explained I technically hadn't and explained that I just didn't have a flight home when I tried to enter so they told me I needed one, so I booked one and like 20 mins later I was allowed in!! Then she said it all looks good, she can't see any problems and to take a seat and wait for my interview. Oh and she gave me my chest x-ray back and gave me the courier slip.

So I sat back down and was called an hour later for my interview. The lady was also nice, I did my finger print thingy first then I swore to tell the truth, I signed a form, she handed back my original certificates and just asked me again about when I wasn't allowed in the States, she then said ok just go ahead and pay the courier......no questions about me and Roshon - I mean nothing!!! I asked her if that meant I was approved and she just said yes!!!!

That was it - all the worrying (and heart burn) for nothing!! Now I just need my passport back and I'll be fine (well till AOS)!!!!

Sounds like you had the same exact experience as me except mine was super busy day!

I noticed that red approved stamp...however, I think thats just the approved stamp on the I-129F? It said I-129f on the top of the form I was looking at anyway...o well.

woohoo feels good doesnt it! You should have your passport and visa in hand in a day or 2

Ours is Friday but unfortunately I have a Sinus Infection. I went to the GP yesterday who didn't help me, sent me home with allergy meds?!?! So now I need another appointment after the Visa thing is over with. Boy, do I miss my old doctor back in NJ!Anyway, here's hoping I'm not too sick for Friday because even if I am, we still have to go, lol.

It's really good to know they have days when they do not do non-immigrant Visas!

P.S. Lack of sleep mixed with a screaming baby when I just made that post, hope it made sense.

YAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!

I'm home and happy! All went sooo well and sooo easy it hasn't sunk in yet.

Had an early night last night and was still lying there staring at the wall at 1:20 this morning. Up at 6:30 and off I toddled to the embassy.

Got there at 9 on the dot after an agonising wait for a taxi at Victoria. ZZ Top man and his little mate told me to get in the right hand line. Stood next to a nice South African guy who was a vodka expert and wanting to spread the word to the US!! He didn't have any samples in his bag unfortunately! Got called in at 9:30, followed the vodka man and took a ticket n sat. After about 45 mins I got called up and a nice asian lady asked me for my DS-156!! I said I sent it in, and she said no, they would have sent it back to you, I (in a panic) said nooo they didn't! Then discovered I'd been given a non immigrant visa ticket and not an immigrant one (doh!) Went back and got another number and waited about 20 mins til I was called. Very nice man at booth 14 took my passport, birth certificate, police certificate, pictures and bank details (although he didn't want them all I told him I photocopied them for him, he's having them!) He gave me the courier slip and told me to sit again. After about 15 mins I got called back to booth 15 and saw a lovely lady who just gave me back my originals and took my fingerprints and got me to swear I was telling the truth. She must have seen me having a sneaky peak at my papers cos she covered them up! She asked how we met, when I said online she asked which site as she was compiling a list, but she already had ICQ on it! She asked how long ago we started talking and when we met in person. When I said a 4 year gap she said wow, you waited a while, did you take someone with you? I said no, she said she'd be having words with my mother!! She told me to go to the courier desk and I said the famous line, is that it?! She said yes, that's it (like she'd heard it a zillion times before!) Got to the courier desk and met the vodka man who had been accepted too. Lovely people on the courier desk too who told me my passport should be with me tomorrow or monday! She even looked up the postcode of where I'm staying for me.

I walked out with a big grin on my face, trying to open a door that didn't open and not even hearing the security guards behind me shouting "no! the other door" I just giggled and skipped away!

A BIG BIG bonus to the trip was bumping into the comedian Bill Bailey! He was getting a visa too and everyone was staring at him, poor guy. When I went up for the second booth we passed mid slope and we smiled at eachother!! Hahahaha a small claim to fame but one I won't forget.

I can't thank everyone on here enough for their invaluable advice. I couldn't have done it without your help.

I'm not sure what time Nigel's interview is. His packet actually got mailed to his parent's address since that's his official one as far as the post office is concerned. His mom opened it and told him April 18. As soon as he gets a hold on the packet I'll let you know the time.

Not to take away anything from all you guys getting your interviews who have been right around the same timeframe as us but I'm starting to get really depressed... The waiting is making me crazy... Crash tries to calm me down and keep me relaxed but sometimes (like now) I can't help it and all I want to do is cry.. I know our time will come soon but it feels like it will never happen. Logically I realize our case is different from the rest because its not just hubby's case but my stepson's as well so it may take a bit longer for them to process but all the same I want a date!!

UGGGH... ok.. I hoped that by letting all of that out it might help me just a bit but.. no luck... and my poor hubby.. feels like theres nothing he can do to make me stop stressing... How can I not? The only thing that would help would be being in his arms...

God I hate this... Thanks for letting me ramble on and have my little breakdown...

I saw many pass me by whilst I waited for my interview date. I kept emailing and still the same reply. Then I got the date and it was only a 10 day wait from getting the email. 8 days from getting packet 4. One thing I was pleased about was how much more stress I suddenly got when I knew when the interview was! I was glad I only had 8-10 days of that! It was much worse than the depression I got waiting for the embassy to notify me. Hang in there, you'll get notified!

We're back home from the Embassy & we are APPROVED!!!!!

My family is so thrilled. Now we got 3 months to pack up, sell stuff, and book our one-way flight to NJ!! (DH's job requires 3-month notice.)

There was hardly anyone waiting in line at 8:30. There were a lot of non-immigrant visa people there though but it only took us appx 1 hour. Didn't ask to see much paperwork either! All in all, it was so simple. Oohh, I *think* there was a model there getting a Visa too but I couldn't tell you who she is though but you can definitely tell she was one unless she's just some fine looking woman. Made me feel all ratty, lol.

Ok.. I just edited my post but it never showed up... Basically I added this:

I'm not sure what part of England you are in but there is now a Springtime flight (Continental) that leaves out of Bristol and flys non-stop to Newark, New Jersey. I used it last time I flew over to visting my husband and it was pretty good... especially the price. LOL When Crash came here over Christmas he flew a KLM/Northwest flight out of Bristol that had a stop in Amerstam but then was non-stop to JFK and he got a great deal on the price for that... much better than say BA or Virgin was out of Heathrow.

Just keep telling yourself it'll be worth it in the end and it's all going to go so well you'll kick yourself after for worrying and being impatient.

I found rambling on here and in real life helped me alot! My poor friends... I must buy them flowers. I also made lots of lists, usually at 3am and wrote down how I was feeling. I'm keeping them so I can look and laugh in a few years time. Dave got the brunt of my mood swings and impatience but he know to just say "yes dear" and let me rant some more - I swear he wears earplugs.

Keep positive, it'll all be over before you know it and you'll be back where you belong.

We will probably fly out of Heathrow, since its closer to us (St. Albans). Its ironic how Bristol now has direct flights because when DH & I were dating, he used to live there.

I'm glad to see March has one success after the other. WTG us!

Just wanted to post and say that we are still waiting for an interview (our petition was sent to London the first part of Feb.)...I haven't been posting much because I was driving myself crazy with worry!

The last few months I have been pretty much OK trying to ignore the visa stress, other than a few times, but lately I have been feeling really antsy and hope this means that we might hear soon about an interview date!

oh! I see our name on the waiting for interview list - things seem to moving so fast now.
London should have us any day now - the suspense is killin me, lol

Yeah your other half requested it put on there Things do move fast between NOA2 and the Embassy, the only catch is the horrible waiting time for the interview date to be issued! It isn't nearly as bad as the NOA2 wait (unless you were lucky and went through Vermont!) but it is still nerve wracking!
