We found out that our case was complete at NVC on Monday so I am hoping that this means the file is being sent to London. Does London set up the interview and medical or does NVC. I have been getting different information on the CR1 boards and just found you guys LOL. Also if anyone can tell us exactly what happens now I would be soooo grateful.

You arrange your own medical the embassy will send you the information needed to do this!!............I believe London arrange thier own interviews!!

Hey all,
I just wanna say thanks for all the help ive got from this forum. Im all packed and going out for dinner with my family tonight before i catch my flight at 10:45 from Manchester tomorrow. Ill be gone for the next few weeks with getting married in 10 days having the honeymoon and then moving to Ohio so again i just wanna say thanks to everyone and we will see yall when we start to file for AOS, EAD, AP and SS#.
I wish everyone the best of luck that has an interview and those still waiting all the best and i hope your interview dates come through sometime soon.

Thanks alot Amanda and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you guys. Have you called NVC yourself because thats how I found out ours were complete.. through the automated message giving my our case status.
Also, I am clueless how to add our names to the list of couples waiting for interview date so if anyone can do that for me I would really appreciate it.. We are, obviously, Crash and Cari

Well, it's been a pretty good February so far in London! Congrats to all the recently-approved.
I think Mary and Tom may be close to getting an answer on their I-601. Mary's mostly posting in the Waivers thread these days (see the link in my signature), so if y'all have a chance, please swing by and give Mary and Tom some good mojo! Mary has to leave the UK on March 21st, so it would be awesome if they had an answer soon so Tom could go with her.

Don't send any pics back with the packet 3, they need to be brought on your interview date. There are also two documents that you aren't supposed to sign until you are at the embassy. Please see below link for more info.
Miranda, you need to send back all of the paperwork in order for them to schedule your interview. This includes the DS230, DS 156, DS 156K and DS 157 AND the checklist. Even if you don't have the police report back or you don't have the I-134 affadavit ready, just check off everything as if you do, since you WILL have it all by the time the interview arrives. Otherwise there will be a huge delay in getting your date.
Sending back the checklist alone does nothing, they need ALL of the other Packet 3 forms in order to enter the new case file information into their system. And consequently if they have all those papers and no checklist, they still won't schedule you since they assume you aren't ready. You need to send it ALL. Here is the London Embassy site which can give you more info on this all.

Hi Estalla Gladdy here, I have sent all my forms back and had my medical and that was all done by the end of January, I asked my lawyer to check the status of my case but as far as that goes I have received nothing back from him either. Im new to this so what kinda time should I allow before e-mailing the Embassy in London and what kinda wording is commonly used in such an e-mail just so I dont sound impolite or ungrateful to their efforts on my behalf so far...?

Im new to this so what kinda time should I allow before e-mailing the Embassy in London and what kinda wording is commonly used in such an e-mail just so I dont sound impolite or ungrateful to their efforts on my behalf so far...?
put your case number in the subject line & write a nice polite email say your have had medical sent all papers back & your ready for interview, could they tell you if a interview date has already been arranged for you!!...........................just write whatever you want!!
And it helps in that email to say when you sent your Packet 3 and checklist to them!!! Good luck!

They're still saying they haven't received James' paperwork at the embassy although it's only been two weeks today. James says the last canned email did say something about getting his medical results though, so at least something is there! I hope we get more information soon 
They said they hadn't received our paperwork either- I panicked so much I rushed out another set of papers!! The waiting for the interview is very difficult....good luck and hope it comes through very quickly!

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm pretty sure they got there and I know any day now the email will pop up saying they have them, I just don't like waiting like everyone else!

Me again returning to my best source of information.. all of you guys...
After getting phone confirmation from NVC I finally received two letters confirming my husband and stepson's cases were forwarded to the Embassy in London. Now come the questions:
1. Does anyone have an estimate as to how long it will take for the Embassy to send my hubby and son the Packet 3?
2. Can my hubby schedule their medicals or does he have to wait for the Packet 3 to arrive? Something about a form they have to bring with them??
3. Does anyone have updated information about the medicals, specifically where they can go get them? They are living in Devon.
I'm sure I have more questions but will leave it at that for now. As always... thanks to you all for your wonderful insight and information during all of this...

Your husband will have to take all the Originals of ALL documents, & I think they will want to see your 2005 tax returns now, which might mean it is a good idea for you to fill out a new I-864 just incase ,

dos told me on the phone today that London will only send 1 pack, & thats the 1 that contains interview for CR1!!
Ok thanks for that info guys... I had already decided to just copy my tax returns (AGAIN) and send them to Crash just to be safe.. but I am confused about what Euro said.. originals of ALL documents? Didn't I send all the originals to NVC? What originals should he bring besides the forms they want him to fill out that they send him in the Packet 3??

Its about the police certificates: Do you have to apply to each counties police force that you have resided in even though it asks you to list all the places you have lived on each application form?
I think hes asking since he applied for a police certificate when he was living in Kent before we got married
and that application (which btw is dated April 5, 2005) had him list all the places he lived previously. That certificate he received only refers to the county he lived in at the time he filed for it (which is also the only thing they found on him from when he was 15).
1- Did that original application cover the period he lived in London and other places as well? And does he need a new one for the county he's living in now (he's been there since August)?
2- Does he need a certificate for all the other counties he has lived in besides the one it found something for him back in 1985 (when he was 15)

Hiya the originals i am talking about are......divorce papers, tax returns,birthcertificates,marriage certificate etc.......you should of only ever sent copies of the originals to the service center & NVC, they will want to see ALL originals at the interview!!......best to take copies + originals just to be safe incase they lost anything!!!

Hi Cari
The police certificate is for the UK and is not done by counties. So as long as he has not resided outside of the UK for more than six months, he will only need the one from UK. Its good for a year, so have you had it for a year? If the year is up in April it might be worth applying for another one just in case - not sure when your interview should be around though!
