OH man girl you have my attention now. I must admit the past while I've been not really coming by so much cause i'm keeping up with the Forums at www.refundcents.com. This is my new hobby- getting stuff for free or almost free, or at the very least 50% off!! I'm enjoying shopping now even more than ever, and of course I can do so much MORE shopping because I am spending DRASTICALLY less money!! smile.gif Yipee!! Guilt-free shopping is the way to go!!

Currently Walgreens for example is offering 3.00 in register rewards when you buy Advil PM.. well there is a coupon online for $2.00 off each bottle. The bottles are $3.99 currently in the store, so when you buy it with the coupon you only pay 1.99 out of pocket but they give you 3.00 in register rewards.. YEAH.. so you are going to PAY me to take this out of the store? smile.gif you bet your maple leafs, I'm out there every day amassing my 1$ profit!! smile.gif I'll do this until the sale is over or the stock is out smile.gif Then I'll turn my 1$ profit into more profit by buying the free after rebate products for the month and getting the purchase price rebated back to me YIPPEEE!!

I like the idea of this thread! Thanks for starting it up Krikit! I will say however that I took in 3 black and 3 colour cartridges to be refilled a few months ago, and each black cartridge worked out well. But each colour refill was unusable. I took them back, with a copy of the pages we had printed to show them, and they admitted that their colour cartridges haven't been working out very well....

Just FYI

Emancipation, wow.... what a great deal on Advil. I use Advil. I'm not sure I follow the register rewards thing though. Is that like the Shoppers card?

Yesterday was free Bike shoes day at work, apparently. We have a ton of different bike shoes - older models, only one size of a certain model, etc - so I carted home 3 pairs of bike shoes with a combined retail value of about $400 or so.

The new owner also chucked a bunch of new bike jerseys in the trash. I saw them in the can as I was emptying it at the dumpster. I now have 3 new bike jerseys.

No really great deals elsewhere for a while, though.

You're very lucky! Was this free bike shoes for just people that worked there?

I love my part-time job for that very reason.....We get freebies every single day I work. Damaged, discontinued, about ready to expire, left-overs, samples.....It's bath, body, hair, and face products. You'd be amazed how much money you do save when you aren't buying shampoo, conditioner, soap, and lotions. Now, if I could just get a job in a toilet paper factory....................

I dont' have any free advice today. I did just buy some shoes from Shoebuy.com which I saved 10% on for signing on through a certain link, 5% for signing up for their e-mail, free shipping & returns, and no sales tax. I got 2 pairs of shoes for $56, which I am sure would've cost me closer to $70 if I could even find my size in the stores (which I couldn't) and closer to $80 or $90 on another web site. I sent my friends coupons to save $10 off any purchase they make of $75 or more and I gave them my 10% off link. If anyone is interested, PM me with your e-mail and I can e-mail it on to you too.

Oh, I would loooooove freebies from where you work! That's awesome. I really miss all the perqs I got from where I used to work. I mean, they were HUGE. Not only in products but in trips and box seats/front row seats at sporting events and everything. Sigh. *misses good old days*

Going to send you a PM for that 10% off link. Thank you! kicking.gif

http://www.advilpm.com/

Here's the coupon link Krikit! smile.gif It's for the PM kind only. The deal is on the 20 ct pill or 16 ct liquid jells Advil PM and only on until Saturday!

The Register Reward (RR) spits out as a coupon after you make your purchase- it can be used to buy something else at Walgreens next time you shop. It can't be used towards another Advil deal unfortunately - if you do use it then the coupon won't spit out again (can't chain them).

Happy shopping!!

I got about 3 of those RR's and I shopped last night for receiving blankets for babies. They have them this week 2/2$ so I got 12 of them for 3$ with my RR's!! I'm sending them with friends who are going next month to visit an orphanage in Africa!! smile.gif

Best bargains I've ever found are on eBay. For instance, I recently bought a BRAND NEW copy of F.E.A.R. Gold Edition (original game plus the expansion pack) for all of $6.50. No shipping or taxes. To use as reference, the Gold Edition goes for $39.99 on Amazon.com, so I definitely got it for a good deal.

The ony problem with eBay is it's full of idiots (like most of the Internet). The people on there don't seem to understand the concept of "keeping the bidding price low." To do this effectively, you'd need to NOT bid on the item you want until time has almost run out on the auction (usually about a minute left or so) and then bid like crazy. That would keep prices low.

Unfortunately, what these morons do is they'll see something they want and immediately start bidding. Sometimes they'll even outbid themselves, which really amazes me, considering the utter futility of it. Constantly bidding and doing so early inflates the price of the item you wish to purchase. Some people don't understand this concept, but it's really quite simple.

If the starting price for a Widget (I'm using that since you could bid on practically anything) is $1.00 and no one were to bid until one minute before the auction ended, the overall price increase would be minimal at best. However, if the auction lasts for five or six days (as they usually do) and people begin bidding immediately, with one bid attempting to top the other, the price can quickly skyrocket -- especially if someone enters in a high maximum bid. Maximum bids automatically override someone else's bid if the maximum bid is still larger than a new bid that has been entered; if it's lower, than you would no longer be the highest bidder. Regardless, this process still inflates the price.

Because of this, I sometimes prefer the "buy it now" option if it's available and the price isn't too high. Generally, it's fair and still far beneath that of other online retailers like Amazon.com.
