i am bringing my dogs too.. shih tzu and pomeranian.

u need to get them a health certificate (with vaccination history) from your vet. Then you also need to get them an export permit from BAI (bureau of animal industry).

Note that states have different animal export/import law.. some state requires more paperworks for animals.. u must check that.. also the airline, ask for info from the airline too.. The most pet friendly airline is Northwest airline -- they allow pets as carry on (in the cabin) as long as its weight do not exceed 15lbs smile.gif

if you have any more specific questions, just leave me a message yes.gif

oh yah, i checked the website of northwest and it says 15 lbs including the kennel. unfortunately, my fat shih tzu is now 14 lbs (without kennel hehe).. i think he should start his diet haha.

i'm going to LA.. just in case you (or anybody) knows additional paperworks for that, pls pls pls let me know.. or could you please direct me to the proper website for that. thanks a lot! biggrin.gif

HI folks, has anyone had experience with taking pets on board with Air Berlin? They have awfully small dimensions for their on board carry luggage. For the pet carrier it has to 35cm x 40 cm x 20cm, and no more than 6 kg including carrier! My cats are both just a year old, and both my husband and I will be carrying them, one each, but I fear we cannot get them into such a small carrier! I wonder how strict Air Berlin is? Anyone know?
