Hi fellow VJers,

My wife is the only one I am sponsoring and I am the only sponsor. I am using my income from W2 which by itself is well above the poverty line and income from 1099 I received from my stock broker. Am I still qualified for using I-864EZ? I already have I864 filled out, but I see some people on VJ are preferring I-864EZ over I-864. I am trying to avoid an RFE. Would appreciate any help.

Thanks,
Daveed
You should be OK to use the I-864EZ form. You are employed by someone else (a company -- not self employed), you have the majority of your income on a W-2, you are the only sponsor, and you are sponsoring just the one person, so it should be fine.

That makes sense. Thanks.
