I think its something else. Why did Romney fail so badly? I feel like if he weren't Mormon he might have gotten the nomination vs McCain.

Yeah, but I think people associate Mormons with polygamy anyway. Plus, their religion seems really cultish to most Christians (although to atheists, it doesn't seem any more cultish than other types of Christianity -- just newer).

I think it also had to do with the perception he was an out-of-touch millionaire who flip-flopped on key conservative issues. Though being a mormon probably didn't help.

Ironically, Romney was the only Republican candidate who had only ever had one wife.

I think my kids will and have made their own decisions on relationships despite what we the parents thought, just like we did to our parents lol

I am not an atheist, I wouldn't date an atheist, and I really hope my son does not grow up to be one.
