Dear Captain Ewok:

I think setting up a forum for petitioners/beneficiaries to detail problems with the staff at the USCIS and the DOS (NVC and US Embassies abroad) would be a great idea.

Mind you, it would be strictly for egregious, unprofessional mistakes and customer service. Really serious stuff. Not a forum for asking advice or smaller problems.

The poster would have to list details of the experience (date/time, what department name (NVC, USCIS Embassy in this country) /number of customer rep, what it was in reference to, what was the transaction/experience, what was the result)

Then just send an invitation (with the link to the thread) to the head of the DOS and USCIS.

Then they find out what is really going on if they see something that shocks even them.

I don't mean to be a thread crasher or anything, but we Pitcairn Islanders have been wanting our own forum now for...well for hours. I think we deserve our own regional forum before we start talking about making any other forums. There's a whole community of us who are completely displaced!

It's okay. We Pitcairn Islanders are used to being disenfranchised. Must be nice to have gotten your independence from the motherland. Wish we could say the same thing!!

Would this be different than the review section:

http://www.visajourney.com/reviews/

Currently you can make reviews on offices abroad and local and sort by location. Let me know smile.gif.

When I read the OPs initial post, I thought that would be nice in the "US CIS and Dept of State Offices" forum...
I would also add experiences with congressional help to that.

Dear Captain Ewok:

The link you provide is ok...But a user has to select a specific Embassy/Consulate or CIS office to read reviews.

I was thinking more of one forum that combines the two so the reader can get a general overview. The reader would not have to select an Embassy or Office to read reports. It would be a continuous thread instead.

Also, the thread should not be for small problems or irritations, but for more serious mishandling of cases and misconduct by USCIS/DOS personnel.

Having a thread like this, might serve some benefit to alert/inform people if there is a repeated offender;. Be it a staff person in an Embassy or a specific office.
