I know how you feel, I had a bad night and a very very bad day today. Sometimes it feels like they will make us wait forever. We reunited last year after 17 years apart. We waited to file, because we were waiting for my divorce to be final and here we are... WAITING...ugh.. I wish I could go to bed and someone would wake me up when this was over. but unfortuantely, thats not an option.

Omg.. 17 yearss of ur life.. thats why I always say TRUE LoVE Exists.. fate has deemed you to be reunited and I am pretty sure ur love will last forever.
In my case, I really believe it was fate that brought Ab to me.. Im so happy with him.. but this waiting is killin' me and sometimes it makes me feel so depressed.. Luckily I got nothing but support from my family and friends. everyday when I wake up I thank God for another day of living, for them. for you and for being in love with him.

It really means a lot to me to be able to read all the postings you all put up on this site. We are all in the same boat, We can get through it together!! Let's wait and see what comes out over the next few weeks.

Oh mrsgomes..do I know how you feel! We thought... we've done this for so many years..we can certainly do a few more months. Well, it's already been almost 3 months and we're not feeling much closer yet. All the waiting... the denied entry... the time apart. It's all so hard, isn't it? We've sacraficed so much over the years and here we are... just waiting for someone else to take 10 minutes to approve our case. It all seems so unfair... but it is what it is, I suppose.

I try very hard to stay positive but I can tell it's eating away at me slowly too. It really does have to be soon... doesn't it?

The thing that keeps me going is just the fact that he exists - far across the globe he may be but he is alive and well and we can communicate everyday- I think of all the woman in the past who's husbands have gone to war, and perhaps never even seen their 5month old new daughter etc...and those woman would have to wait and wait never knowing...wait for months for ships to come in with letters and news.....thank God thats not what we have to go through!! I'd go stark raving bonkers As long as he is in this world, and we can communicate our love, Im happy That being said- come on Vermont, HURRY UP!!! I'm dying here!!

also- I was only touched last May- do you think I need to have more touches to indicate it will be approved soon? Or will it just suddenly change to 'approved'?

No, touches can mean anything..or nothing.

I agree in the respect that at least he's not fighting a war or living in a country where he is at risk. And i'm so happy we get to spend at least a few hours a day communicating. I still want his arms around me at the end of the day tho.

Just FYI everybody, I got a Vonage phone a few months ago, and I pay 29.99 every month and I can talk to Luis unlimited with the World Plan. Theres a lot of countries that have this same deal. I used to have to talk to him through skype or on my cell phone with calling cards and the quality stunk with the calling cards. It's kind of hard for me to be on skype or online a lot with the kids around so the Vonage worked out great for me and I got rid of my other house phone.

So last month I spent over 3,000 minutes calling Lima peru and still got charged 29.99 (plus taxes and fees, lol).

This is the best thing that ever happened, haha. And now when Luis comes he can use it to call home everyday! yay!

My fiance and I use Skype, but it's ridiculously cheap to buy Skype credit, so he can call my cell phone anytime he wants to while I'm out and about. Which is great, because when I go out with friends, it doesn't take long for me to start missing him and wishing he was there.

I think we're insanely lucky to have the capability for communication as we do now. Can you imagine what it was like for people who may have been trying to do this 20 or 30 years ago?

well guys....... not in the greatest mood right now. Its my fault. I got an RFE in the mail today. I missed page 3 part c 2. Have you ever been convicted by a court of law (civil or Criminal) or court martialed by a military tribunal for any of the following crimes....

I guess I missed it cause section C starts talking about Military service.

Anyways I answered no on the form I got today. I will mail this back on Saturday as Friday is the holiday.

I updated my time line. with RFE dated 6.30.2008 since thats the notice date on the form.
For my RFE reply date I put down July 5th as that will be the day I mail this out. does that sound correct in the way I updated my time line?

that will be ok.... I am sorry that you got the RFE but on the brighter side at least you know that they were really working on your papers and for some, the RFE only delays the approval for about a week or two.

I can't understand what's taking VSC too long to approve your petitions. It is making me feel guilty that us january filers had a breezy approval (except for some who are still waiting for NOA2 up to this time). I hope VSC will get their act together and start kicking some approvals.... Friday's are usually a good day for loads of approvals but since it will be 4th of July so I guess they are on holiday... I hope next week will be a better week for all of you still waiting.

Thanks for the tidbits suzy. We're msn'ers for the most part but Russell has a phone from our family plan with verizon here in the States. Verizon owns vodaphone (in NZ) so we are able to get in touch with each other any time.

Another week has gone by .....this is really getting me down. I hope someone gets approved
soon. Its getting to me more and more every day. I know he's not at war and I know he

Well, the new semester starts Monday and they have me running around like a mad woman

Thanks Susita!, we have been looking for ways for me to call my Parents,my brother & friends when I eventually move to the States so this is Perfect! I put in ALOT of minutes and from my mobile phone it costs a large fortune , so I will have to mention this to Steven.

Heads up guys & gals, I didnt expect many approvals last week because of the US holiday weekend, but this week hopefully will bring a whole bunch!.

Jonabis- I totally agree , the fact you got an RFE means they are currently right into your case, so hopefully that will go back and your NOA2 will follow shortly!

I am glad to have finally hit the 90+mark, why? i'm not to sure but it makes me feel closer to that acceptance hehe.

I have read the methods some of you use to call your better half.
I've used Talkster (www.talkster.com) for some time now to call family and friends. You can call to plus 30+ countries completely free.
No registration, no log in, just put the phone number and will give you local numbers for both.
Phone to phone. How is free? before the call you hear a 10 second advertisement thats all, you can talk as long as you want.
Unfortunately my fiancee's country is not listed because some countries have Red tape for some VOIP calls.
Little by little they add mmore countries to their list currently supported.
Another website (Also phone to phone) www.webcalldirect.com you can use completely free for short calls under 3 minutes. I use it for fast calling, when I just need to say something.
Hope it saves a couple bucks to anyone out there ;-)

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to drop in and say that according to VJs timeline Luciano and I are officially "in the zone" for our application to be approved!!! Supposedly it should be sometime between July 6th and 13th so lets hope this is true and that with it comes lots of approvals for everyone now that those Vermont guys have had their fair share of burgers and hot dogs this long holiday weekend!

I dont know about the rest of you but it seems like the closer we get to NOA2 the less possible it seems that it could actually be happening! maybe that dosnt make sense but I feel like we have been waiting for so long for this letter that we couldnt possibly actually get it. Well....I guess I just really want to see some good news after this dry spell of no approvals in almost a week.

Al I can think is YES- we are in JULY! And the work weeks will fly by (though the weekends are rough cos thats when I have the most time to miss my baby!) and soon enough, I can just imagine, the heart leap as you open your inbox and there its IS ...that bloody email...FINALLY saying, yes, we approve, and now things will move much faster!!!
Cant WAIT!! Its like waiting for Xmas but a thousand times more intense!!
Im happily planning a holiday to go see my man in august for his b-day, so thats taking my mind of things- its seems so SOON now lol, am hititng the gym etc!!!! Good morning April.

Well it's the start of a new week and hopefully many of us get that illusive email from CRIS this week! That VJ date range keeps moving up which is a tad frustrating but I suppose that's going to happen with the lack of approvals and more people joining VJ.

Promised the kids a trip to the coast today. The ocean brings me great peace so that should help my psyche a bit.

I know it's getting harder... but that just means it's getting closer!

Well, I got my approval today.

Actually, it was emailed to me at 7:45 PM, on July 3rd. I really wish that someone else had received it before me. Don't get me wrong, I am not giving it back.

But, I know how stressful this has been for some really super nice people here on our April thread. I really hope that a boat load of approvals arrive this week for everybody.

Thank you to everybody for the warm congratulations. The plan from the beginning was to have the final interview like mid-August and to get married in September. I thought we would have plenty of time to spare, but now it seems to be just right.

And for those who are touch deprived, I only had the one customary touch about a month after the filing of my K-1. While if I had a choice, touches are nice, they were not indicative of any immediate action on my file.

I have good news as well...not an approval but just as good!! Gareth is coming for a visit on the 9th!! My birthday! What a present!! Hopefully we'll be approved while he's here. After not being able to talk to him for a month because he didn't have a phone or computer...to him being here in two days...wow...it's great!!

I hired an attorney to process all documents for me, how can something like this happen? But my real question is, how much delay can I expect because of this?

My RFE was just cause I missed a question. it was under section C so i thought that whole section was just military stuff. I got the letter on thursday. and mailed it out on saturday with next day day delivery. the VSC recieved it at 10:28am today. still not seing any touches today yet though.

Also one more strange thing. for some reason my case status never updated asking for more evidence. maybe it was just cause i just missed a question.. anyways a RFE should probobly only back things up a week or 2.

Well Megan and I have decided for her to come over in August for a week. We have been doing some serious arguing lately with the stress of everything and we both figured having this to look forward to would stop us both being so cranky!!!!

Currently sitting in work, on my day off booking the flights as we speak. Gotta love no internet access at home but free in the bar!!!

I just had the one touch about a month after filing like most people get. I remember checking my account around lunch time with no new touches on July 3rd. Read my email this morning at work and there it was in my inbox. And the approval email was sent July 3rd at 7:48 PM.

So in my case no touches meant little.

Sorry to hear that some of you are arguing/bickering with your SO's. Alan and I have argued more over these last 6 months than I have ever argued with anyone. We haven't seen each other since Jan 3rd and I think that has a lot to do with it. If you can plan trip or even just arrange quick weekends away together then I would say do it. We thought we would be fine waiting for the visa and ok we have gotten through it but not without some trials I could have done without.

Fingers crossed for more NOA2's (although there are a few March filers I would like to see cleared first)

I can only imagine how good seeing that NOA2 must have felt! It makes us may filers look up a bit though, knowing that we're not too far behind!

I can relate to arguing lately, the heat and stress of the paperwork, work in gerenal and everything else can get to us. But I'm Southbound to see Bo in 12 days, so I think that will make a world of difference

Hey Guys and Gals quick question.

All my papers that were sent to the VSC state me and my fiancée will live at my Oakland drive location (my parents house were I live now) I recently bought a house and settlement is august 5th. on my I-134 I put I currently reside at my parents house (assuming I get my noa2 by august 5th) I am also putting that I own real estate with a mortgage of 170,000 (my soon to be new house). Not sure if it matters but my current salary is 42,000.

My question is should me and my fiancée just keep going with the story that we will still live at my parents house since my parents aren’t moving? Or during the interview should my fiancée tell them that I just purchased a house? And update the address of my new house on any documents she brings for the interview?

I can't believe the day finally came!!!!! Lu saw that we were touched this morning and that beautiful email came in to my inbox at 5:45pm!!!!!!!!!!! of course it happens on my first day back to work all day so Im just finding out about it now but thats okay!!!!!

For sure were going to see a lot of partying in here this week I can feel it! Everyone waiting...just keep your spirits up. I know ours were very down recently but once that email comes nothing matters anymore and IT WILL COME!!!

Are you going to Rio for the interview? Have you ever been to Rio? Does Luciano know anything about the medical and vaccines? I wonder if I could start doing that before getting the NOA2...

Yes the interview is in Rio, I believe all Brazilian K1's go through there. I have spent my fair share of time in the Rio International Airport in passing but never been into the city - I would love to be able to go there one day though! it looked beautiful from the air! Lu has already taken his medical exam in Belo Horizonte at one of the approved civil surgeons - they said the exam is valid for one year so he could take it any time. He got the vaccines while he was there because they were free but we're pretty sure that its not required while hes in Brazil because of the medical stuff thats required for a marriage in the states so you can go either way with that i guess. ahhh im still just over the moon im so excited I keep reading the email over and over again!!!

Congrats to those who were approved! I think it's not going to happen at this point for us, though... Probably we'll be forgotten and perhaps get that approval just before Xmas, if ever. I really feel like quitting now..... I'm starting to think it was not meant to be.

This is a bad day for me..I noticed we made a mistake on filling up the form pertains to Q 17 which asked if my fiance and I are related we checked yes but answered N/A on the follow up question asking for the nature of relationship eg uncle...
Dont know what to do...Should we wait or should we call right away..
