I hope someone listens to you... We filed two days after you, and are anxiously waiting for NOA2! Hopefully we won't get any nasty surprises, like an RFE. We're so tired of waiting!

I have a feeling this week or next week alot of us will have our noa2's. my Noa1 (non hard copy) was april 1st. lets hope for the best

Thank you all for your stories yesterday. They helped to keep a smile in my heart all day long. I hope they did the same for you.... probably not quite as much as those 5 approvals did!!!!! Nic, I feel so much like you in that all my life i've taken care of everyone else. No regrets... it's just what I do. But now I have this wonderful man who wants nothing more than to take care of me and make my days as happy and comfortable as he can. And I want the same for him. There aren't words to describe the gift he is to my life. I'm so glad you have that too... you deserve it!

I have to agree, I'm really happy, I've spent my entire life picking up after everyone else's (in my family, plus my ex's) mistakes and taking care of my now 14 year old sister (who is graduating from the 8th grade tomorrow, I'm so happy) and my now 3-year-old twins. I really have always done everything for myself, and it's so wonderful to have someone now who takes care of me. Even from another continent he finds a way to help me every day. Meanwhile my ex was around me 24/7 and did less for me in 6 years than Luis has in the past 2.

I think that finally everything has fallen into place for me. I'm about to graduate from college (finally), I've been accepted into a master's program (pending my grades next semester of course) the love of my life will be here fairly soon (we hope) and my kids are growing, they're healthy and they're happy. I guess I couldn't ask for more (except for USCIS to hurry it up LOL). Actually I'd like to finish summer courses before Luis gets here, I don't want him to see this sleep-deprived, cranky, mad at the world side of me HAHAHA. I'm kidding, but at least I'm not sitting around crying, I'm too wrapped up in passing this darn astronomy exam on Thurs.

Im an end of April submitter (NOA1 on the 23rd I think?) and am WAITING for approval- keep checking my case status- last prodded on the 20th of May :/ From what I can tell- Vermont is averaging about 80 days to approval so Im expecting a response by late July! The offical gov websites and even on here dont seem to have up to date processing timelines for the different centers- does anyone know where I can get this info? Want to know what Aprils timing is like!!

This is on your timeline. It's based on VJ filers. You put 5/10 as your NOA1 date. Is this when you got it in snail-mail??? We sent our petition 4/15 and our NOA1 date is 4/23 (date listed on the form). We're hoping to be approved in the next three weeks.

Every day feels more and more anxious, doesn't it? I do hope the approvals we see this week are a sign that it's picking up again.

HiTech posted these stats yesterday on the percentage of VJ approvals for each week since April 1st. I have no idea how accurate they are as I haven't checked them personally but he seems like a numbers guy so here you go...

Here's some numbers from VJ timelines for March VSC

Average Days NOA1 to NOA2
43 days for Apr 15-30 approvals
54 days for May 1-6 approvals
60 days for May 7-14 approvals
66 days for May 15-30 approvals
78 days for Jun 1-9 approvals
82 days for Jun 11-19 approvals
86 days for June 20-25 approvals

But you can see how the trends go by looking at the VJ graph



I'm sure the surge of petitions varies. Look on VJ and see how big Feb (NOA1s=100) was compared to last Dec (NOA1s=65) petitions. All those Febs are slowing you guys down. It's not the March people. Looks like the line is leveling off. Maybe it will go down since April, so far, is showing lower number of filers. That will help out May.
Anyway, we are over 82% done give or take a couple of weird dated new timelines. It's going to happen for you soon

December - 22 filers, 19 with NOA2 (86%), 2 RFEs pending and 1 not online for a while.

January - 83 filers, 82 with NOA2 (99%) and 1 not online for a while.

February - 100 filers, 90 with NOA2 (90%), 4 RFEs pending and 6 waiting.

March - 93 filers, 74 with NOA2 (80%), 1 RFE pending and 18 waiting.

April - 65 filers, 2 with NOA2 and 1 with an Interview (5%) and 62 waiting.

May - 47 filers and 47 waiting.

June - 26 filers and 26 waiting.

May filers are now getting their dual touches. Looking at March filers, it was about 8 weeks to approval from those touches, which would put us at about July 11th (i think). Timeline says July 19th now! Yet, we're down to 90 on Igor's list. I know that it all means very little in the big scheme of things but I need to be doing something at this point...and i'll take ANYTHING to help keep me going!

Guara, we have the same NOA1 date! A former adjuticator posted that they go by the received date...which for both of us is about mid April.

It's good to know they're working 7 days a week. Hopefully it's not much longer for any of us.

We do have the same date!! I posted my package from England just a few days before you sent yours And we got our NOA2 at the same time Oooh....the suspense...hope we get ours together, we can have a huge celebration on this thread....its such a milestone....as I read somewhere else, once you get NO2 'congratulations, everything moves much faster from this point..' I will SERIOUSLY go buy myself a bottle of something bubbly and have a webcam toast with my man...cheesy but necessary lol!

How long the wait depends on the USEM you're interviewing with. Some take longer than others.

NZ is usually only about a months wait for the interview and we know of several couples who have had that expedited. I can only imagine Russell will be on the phone with them every day as he's just sitting there waiting for that &$^*$ stamp that will allow him to come back home to me. It should go pretty quickly for us so i'll be SO ready to party when that approval comes through!

Just wondering why the slow down in approvals at VSC? I know IGORs list does not capture everyone who has applied for a K-1 visa, but it does give an overall perspective and it seems as if others were approved within 60 days or about that. Waiting patiently.............

If you look in the stats posted in this thread alone you'll see the trend of it slowing down since January/February. We can speculate until the cows come home but nobody can really seem to say for sure.

The H1B visa's came through in April so perhaps that is partly to blame but I find that a tough pill to swallow as last years timelines didn't seem effected by it.

The past year has brought many changes in the USCIS. The fee hike brought in a huge influx of petitions that they weren't prepared for. New adjuticators were hired but that still caused a HUGE backlog in cases for a long time. The K1's were also split between the two centers (VSC/CSC) when they used to be handled by several others as well.

In the end, it is what is is... historically, VSC has always been the fastest of all the centers but the fluxuations have always ranged from weeks to months.

We can all only hope that our time is coming soon and that things will speed back up for those who filed after us.

I got touched today!!. I know it doesn’t necessarily mean anything. But its nice to see the touch since my previous touch was 4/24. I really think our noa2's will start rolling soon

Well I have been chatting with someone who went threw the annoyance as me (losing a month because the package got lost) he reposted a few days before me so when he sees his NOA2 hopefully it will mean mine is not far behind!.

Steven also told me we got the NOA1 hardcopy today, apparently the first one was returned to them but that could have been because he was in the middle of moving house, just nice to know that Steven actually does recieve mail at the new house! lol!

On a sidenote I got word that a couple of my Photographs are being published! some shots I took for a wind Energy company from a small plane, and one of Murrayfield on a website called scmap, hehe.

I don't know about anyone else but this wait is really starting to get me down. I have never been so utterly utterly depressed in my life. I just want this to be done

Graham, i'm sorry you're so down buddy. Why do you think you would 'never' get here? This is just a stumbling block and you will get through it ...and I know it's hard to see it now, but you will get there...and be even be better because of it. Where did you see the late April filer approval??? I can't seem to find it.

My glass remains half full but I will be the first to admit this wait is taking it's toll on my psyche. My poor love has been living out of his suitcase for over 9 months now... actually, all he had when he was sent home from Dublin was a backpack! Granted, he's living in the kind of beauty many only see in postcards...he's been finished with his work for some time now and even though he's keeping busy working on what is our home when we're in NZ..... he's really just sitting there... waiting. Seems senseless really. So, he's even more anxious than I am...which speaks volumes! I try to stay strong for him.

Johnabis was touched on Friday so it does appear we may be on our way... hopefully we'll see them approved on Monday along with all the rest of March and then we can expect to see several early April approvals this week as well. All of you with early April dates stay strong... it's got to be real soon! Curse the USCIS for dating my noa1 a week after they got it!

I've sort of put off coding a list for all of us April filers as I thought perhaps it would make us all a bit more anxious to not see changes on it but maybe it's time for it now...???? We all need some positive energy! What about the next stage.... it often goes pretty quickly after approval... are you all ready for that????

This wait IS very hard, but soon enough it will be over. And if you think about it, it will be a small amount of time in comparison with the amount of time we are going to spend with our husbands/wives. The thing that keeps me going is knowing that being depressed brings bad karma & if I remain optimistic, I think things will come easier, and disappointments will be easier to deal with. My approval estimated time is the middle of July, so I'm not going to be depressed, I'm going to enjoy the 4th of July with my family knowing that the next 4th of July Luis will be here to share it with us.

Graham We all have those bad days. At least every other week I tell Dave that I will never make it there. I can't even imagine how I'll feel in a month when it will be close but still seem unreachable. I'm wishing you all the strength in the world to get through this! You will make it there!!! There is no other way!

I am another of those people who sometimes feels they'll never get there. Though I've tried to be positive, the long wait, coupled with the mishap that led us to waste almost two months, is really getting me down big time. I'll be 48 in December, and therefore I know more than half of my life is behind me... Sorry to be so negative, but sometimes it's not easy to be otherwise.

Highway don't apoligise, I think everyone feels that way at some point, even if they don't admit it, it is healthy but the hard part is getting your pysche back up to glass half full, we lost over a month because of our lost application, and one day It kills me that I could have had an approval already, the next I remember it is coming.
