Welcome to the April thread scary razor blade picture lurker. wink.gif

Hello Nic & Gaye... always a pleasure to see you ladies dropping in. smile.gif Yes Gaye, it does appear that csc is catching up and vsc is slowing down. Of course this is a good thing and really only fair...but they could have waited until May! laughing.gif

Graham... appreciate the stats as always, although it would be nice to see those march filers clear out of vsc already! Last Wednesday was a big day for Vermont so hopefully today will be as well! Glad your new job seems to be going well. How is megan feeling? Did you get to hear the heartbeat? i'll be pm'ing you with regards to the ftp this morning. Get back to me when you can.
Fernanda O.
We haven´t been touched since the 21st! unsure.gif

Hey, I was wondering... My parents need to renew their tourist visa. The closer american embassy here is in Recife, they´ll have to fly there, but they´ll be there next month for work, so maybe they can just go to the embassy. But I don´t know how the process will be going by then, what should they say on the forms? They want a tourist visa to go for vacation or to visit their daughter, who´s not even there yet? Do you guys think it´ll be a problem?
HiTech
This is most of the K-1s submitted to Vermont on April 3 with an NOA1 date of April 6.
The date is the last touch date of these records.

I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for anything coming through from you Kim. By the way I praised you on here earlier but no idea if it did anything!!!!!! Really enjoying the job, all the girls that work behind the bar are hilarious and getting along with them all. Got my first weekend shifts coming up this weekend. I certainly have more respect now for bar staff in these city centre bars as I am absolutely exhausted after only working 3 days!!!! Megan is doing great, I keep telling her to come on and leave a reply for you guys but obviously it's just me that's here!! We never got to hear the heartbeat as she wasn't as far along as we thought she was. She is just 12 weeks 4 days pregnant right now, which means the little one was conceived around the day we left Scotland for me to come over for the 3 months on VWP!! Too much information for some people, but we're all friends. How is Russ doing with the Kiwi Fruit? And how are the kids doing?
kornyhiv
Thank you Graham, and thanks once again to share the stats.
Very interesting stuff. I do agree with you, hopefully this week we'll have more NOA2.
KimandRuss
12 weeks! How exciting! Never TMI for me! laughing.gif Thanks for the 'praise'.. no idea what it means/does... but thanks! smile.gif

Russ is done with his kiwi fruit for now and on to building what is really our home when we are in NZ. He'd be a lot happier being here working on our new bathroom but ...sigh... not yet. He's getting a tad antsy now that the time isn't passing as fast as he'd like but he's hanging in there. Although, I think if I say "soon" one more time his head may very well explode! laughing.gif

The kids are well. Only a couple more weeks left until school is out. I let them stay home yesterday as it was close to 100 and I felt that making them sit in those classrooms in that kind of heat is just child abuse! I did, however, make them work! wink.gif It's really amazing how fast the time passes and how quickly they grow. Do be sure to take the time every day to enjoy your new addition as he/she will be grown before you know it. smile.gif My kids are 16 and close to 13 now but I still enjoy them immensly!

Welcome aboard HiTech. I noticed your timeline sees you as a Feb. filer because of the date you sent in your original petition. It has you projected as being done back in May. star_smile.gif

Not a big deal, but it probably skews the database a little. Lord knows, we have some numbers people on here. star_smile.gif

HiTech, we are technically May filers, but our first petiton was mailed out in April and than got returned three weeks later. Well, truth be told, I just like to hang out with the folks here. Couldn't wish for a better company along on the journey smile.gif

Hi everyone! I believe I am also an April filer! Hope you guys can help control my impatience...i have been checking out load of stuff from this website and found it to be so informative. Keeping my fingers crossed for speedy approvals for all of us, I know how you all feel. I have a question though, hoping some kind person can give me advice on. I filed my petition and stated Belfast as my consulate unaware that they do not take care of these visas. Should I inform USCIS now or wait and see if they are smart enough to adjust my consulate to London? help would be much appreciated...thanks all. Lets the approvals begin.

VERY TRUE! good.gif .. my daughter will be 11 by November and my son will be 9 by september... My daughter don't have problem with display of affection but my son don't like it when i hug and kiss him outside anymore especially when his friends (and his crush) are around.. but he still wraps his arms around my waist when we walk. They are indeed growing up faster than I want them to.

Welcome to VJ Dave. Good to have you with us. Dont worry about putting the wrong consulate. They'll know where it's going. wink.gif

Yes, bittersweet indeed. Part of me wants to see them all grown up and be successful in their chosen path but another part of me wants them to stay as kids forever.

Ricky and I don't have plans of having another baby... well as of now,.. but we might decide otherwise someday.

Hey Guys! I have a quick question which we have just noticed. Hoping someone can give us advice. On our NOA1 the address simply says the street address without the house number. Any similar cases?? Ideas?? I hope this isn't going to set us back any, not sure i could handle it...help/advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks
Dave
KimandRuss
Good morning April filers!

Well at least one vj approval pushed through yesterday. Let's hope that means hundreds on the outside!

Dave, my noa1 has the house number so i'm not really sure what to tell you. I would assume that since it found you, you should have no worries about it setting you back any. Did you sign up for email notification with uscis? The only other thing you should be expecting from them is your noa2 which you will know about before it comes. wink.gif

So it's a beautiful day here in MA today.... only one thing could make it better. wink.gif
BexandAlan
Hi April filers ...

Hope your all doing well today.

HiTech you got lucky because you are sort of straddling the March/April line, I personally couldn't dream of a better place to find myself. WINNER!

Graham thanks for the baby stats!! Glad you are enjoying work it helps so much when you are with good people; tell Megan we would love to hear from her too.

Kim are you and Russ going to have another baby eventually!?!?!?!?! YEY!!!! I can't believe you let your kids stay off because it was hot ... Being from England I struggle to believe there is such a temperature as 100 anyway but I know for a fact that my mum would have still made me sit, dehydrating in class all day. Your the best mom EVER! Lol

Dave if you call the USCIS customer service number they will be able to tell you if that’s right, I'm assuming it was delivered to your house with a number right? I haven't seen our NOA1 yet so I'm not sure what it actually said. I'm sure when Kim and Brian get there butts online they will be able to give you the low down.

Ana lovely are you feeling a bit better? Hope so!

Lots and lots of love guys xxx

Sooo don't worry about listing the wrong consulate. It happens all the time. There have been several posts about this on VJ. Believe me, they tell you were to go, you don't tell them. star_smile.gif

Still no touches since April 22.... I know there are other people in the same situation, but I still can't help feeling a bit put out. However, even though I have never seen myself as a very patient person before, I think I've been surprising myself at how well I'm dealing with this. Pity that I can't say the same about Michael... I know he's in pain, all alone there in the US, with all his bad memories to keep him company, and feeling so very lonely for me. Hopefully it won't be too long now...

Bex, thanks for asking. You guys charged me with so many positive thoughts, I now just smile when ppl tell me smth dumb about the process smile.gif. And getting our first touch def. helped to rise my spirits.

So how bad is the famous English weather? I've been to London twice, both times in May and it was so nice. I'm actually thinking about taking a little detour on my way to U.S. to visit couple friends in London. Does it really rain that much in autumn?

It is a compilation of VJ timeline data. It shows the last twenty persons to receive an NOA2 for a K1 or K3 from Vermont or Cali. It also shows a chronological list of those still waiting, and the stats page gives you a weekly breakdown of how CSC and Vermont are doing.

Worthwhile to look at. I view it a couple times a week. Here is a link for it :

Ana, just curious, where did you learn English?

I started in elementary school, like most Ukrainians. During freshman and sophomore years my parents paid for a private tutor who helped me with grammar. In 2001 I won a US government sponsored exchange program which placed me in American high school for a year. I lived in MS, and developed a real southern accent smile.gif. Add 4 years of English-speaking college in Kiev, 2 summers spent in Florida and my recent 18-month internship in Orlando smile.gif. So, I'm basically a native speaker with many typos and at times dissappering accent smile.gif.

Are you looking for ways to help Olenka improve her English?

Are you serious? That's where I'm based! Which high school were you at and during what year? I remember we had some exchange students, but the only one whose name I remember was Ewa, and she was from Poland.

It's hard to be here for more than a week without picking up the accent. It's contagious.

I went to North Pike High in Summit during 2001/2002 school year smile.gif. And it was a blast. I still remember how excited my host sister was the first time I said "I rekon" smile.gif. I still say "y'all" a lot, too smile.gif. To be honest, I truly enjoyed my time there. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Oh, and the southern food... gotta love it!

How is everyone doing today? No more touches for me yet, I was getting a lil' nervous until SterlingGirl said the same thing happened to her.

Hope you guys have a great day!
GrahamandMegan
hi, its megan finally! thought i'd make a post! he's already updated you on the baby stuff, next appointment is the 30th. the whole being apart thing is really hard on us both, as everyone else i'm sure. it's just missing out on being together and him not being able to be at the doctors with me which sucks for both of us. our first little one is going to be a christmas baby of course (december 20th) is the due date.

kim i want to thank you for what you did for us! i'm sure it will come into some great use here shortly! should be able to hear the heartbeat next appointment and we'll have a nice video to put somewhere! so thank you again!!!

desenchantee Yeah, Dave says that about my English too... Yet always trues to correct me when I mispronounce smth... You should've seen him teach me to say "karaoke." Our friends still make fun of me for that one. Oh, warn Olenka for me that for a while ppl will tease her, when in heart they'll be so jealous of that hot Ukrainian accent smile.gif. How is she doing, by the way?

Susita He's gonna have that funky accent in no time! I worked with Spanish girl from Bronx last year and just loved the way she talked... And all that New York attitude smile.gif

Megan I just admire you two guys, your hubby-to-be seems so positive, even though you guys are in the worst situation possible. I just hope this seperation will be over really soon! On the positive side, what a story to share with your kids and grandkids smile.gif.
KimandRuss

Quick update before I go to work on the March filers using Igor's list.......

88 filers, 60 with NOA2 (68%) and 28 waiting.

I really hope things pick up soon as it has slowed to a snail's pace and I know that I'm getting really frustrated so most other folks probably are too? sad.gif
KimandRuss
Good morning friends..

Yes Graham, getting a tad frustrated with the wait. Hell, I was fed up with it years before we ever even filed! laughing.gif It's not easy but it is what it is and being upset about it isn't going to change a thing. The one thing we do have control over is our attitude. We all HAVE to remember that we are all really in the home stretch now and that even though the process is taking more time than it did just a few months ago.. it's still taking less time than it did a few months before that...and still less than CSC. Perspective! This will not be the hardest thing you ever do. wink.gif

I do find myself checking email more often looking for that 'CRIS' in the from column....and watching the vj timelines even more than I used to. I suppose that's a sign that it's getting close! It probably doesn't help that I have to be on the computer all day... and sometimes night too. whistling.gif

We try to stay positive by dreaming of the day he comes back home to me. That feeling of knowing he will never have to leave my side again. Even now I have to catch my breath at the mere thought of it. It's coming... and that's what keeps me going. smile.gif
aleena

I PM'd the people who were approved today and they were NOT an expedited case. I really hope we all start seeing some action soon. And if you are the same NOA1 date I would be positively thrilled if you were one of the first to graduate from the April filers smile.gif

Hope everyone is doing well? We've had a great day today, first one for a while I tell you!!!!!!!!!

I hope to see more approvals from March and April when I check back on Igor's list tomorrow morning.
