I went back and read your post again today and it's actually very clear that you were not the original petitioner. I took a muscle relaxer for some bad neck pain last night and I think I was a little loopy. I wanted to apologize again and warn others about the dangers of posting under the influence.

So my RFE was delivered to VSC today DHL - no touch though or anything.
Why do you guys think that is? Maybe tomorrow I'll get a touch or something? I sure hope so. I'm a nervous wreck.
I just want to know that they received it and it didn't get stuck in somebody's pile of junk, and that it actually makes it to my adjudicator's desk. If I called, do you think they'd tell me?

Guess what- we have reached page 108 of this forum- and in India 108 is a very lucky number The 08/08/08 has also passed by - Ive always liked dates like that but I just learned that the Chinese find them very luck and loads of Chinese got married on the 08/08/08 at 8:08am/pm lol!

Hope all this good luck piles up and pushes those USCIS adjudicators to work hard!

Its amazing how long this one little part of the whole thing can take - Im on the second part now and theres waaaaaay more paperwork/worry ahead! Phew! One little bit of advice for those of you wanting to do stuff while waiting- get your vaccinations all up to date and take a look at the latest revised vaccinations needed. If you live in a cool country go to your local doc and they can do it for free instead of you splashing out the big bucks in the states or at your private medical exam. Also, if you have it all ready (even though its not required until AOS technically speaking) the docs at your medical mark you down as all up to date which takes a lot of hassle outta life....

I tried not to obsess in about the past 2 weeks. I was not really looking at either of VJ / USCIS.
I was getting so excited to see my fiancefor the first time in 8 months and didn't have to think about it.
After about 2 weeks, I still see no change on my case and it is pretty depressing
I feel like they are moving so ahead that they probably skipped our case way before
and they don't even know that they skipped someone's case....

But Highwaystar got her approval so that shoud mean that VSC is working on the cases, just really really slowly....

KIm, I totally know how hard it has been for you lately.
when I was seeing all the March filers getting approved everyday and
I felt like it could be my turn anytime but nothing would happen, I was going MAD!!
I got used to not seeing any change afterwhile but I want you to get approved before you get to that stage of mind!
You should get approved any time soon, you have been cheering everyone up so it should be your turn now!!!

I just got off the phone with the Frankfurt Embassy our interview appointment is 2008-08-26 at 7.30.

First Embassy and then they send me from there to the Medical.....
Iam all nervous but happy....

I just feel bad that we've waited so many years already... then having to wait for that stupid decree and even more years... it just seems so unfair.. but... it is what it is and me stressing about it even more isn't going to do any good. I already know what it's like to live with this man and I just want our life back... that is what's keeping me going! I know it's coming! I just hope it's very soon!!!!

Well I got up early today so I came into the office rather than sit at home to work. I've got a busy day ahead of me that should help keep my mind off of things a little bit anyway. I wish I could help you more with the process after NOA2, but with my approval being overturned, I never really looked into it.

I did order the tax transcripts for the spousal support form. They are nice little summaries that stand in the place of the original tax returns. I just called some cheezy 1-800-1040 tax line and the process was automated and I had them within 5 business days.

Just to vent, this STINKS.

I am back to checking the USCIS visa updates for touches on a daily basis. I just wish that I had been RFE'd back on July 3rd instead of getting an approval. Having that NOA2 is sweet.

It was so nice just realxing until the next packet arrived with not a care in the world.

I know I created the situation but VSC did not help by waiting almost a month to overturn my approval and now another two weeks since my RFE was returned.

Okay, I feel better now.

Of course, I am respectful of the fact that many people are still waiting for their first NOA2 and wish the best for everyone.

Hey everyone!

Took Gareth to the airport yesterday and his flight has landed in England this morning. Haven't heard form him yet but I will soon.

It was sad and I cried but not as much as last time because he's going back to finish this process up and get back here for good. Can't wait for that!

I'm about to call the NVC to see if our case got there and see about when Packet three will arrive.

Hi,

Expect to see your status change to "Evidence received, processing resumed" by tomorrow. You will probably get several touches after that. And you should get your NOA2 in about 7-9 days. This is what happened to me and another VJ member.

Thanks Tom! I still haven't seen any update with my case - it's just about lunchtime, so let's hope something happens by the end of today or I'll really be nervous. I was wondering if I should call them & ask if they got it? It's a legitimate concern seeing as DHL screwed up my next day delivery and it didn't arrive when it was supposed to, I may as well tell them I'm just checking to make sure that it arrived WHERE it was supposed to. LOL

I don't know what I want to do, ugh. I'm freaking out.

I think to get the DHL tracking number for your package, you'd call the NVC (I found out the hard way that you can't do the automated system, you have to speak to an actual person (and be sure to be ready with your number & such)) and ask for it. I think.

Hi Stephanie- I wouldnt bother calling the embassy its major expensive!!
Call NVC on 603-334-0700 - ask them what date they sent your package
Then go to do the DHL website and search for post sent on this date with the reference code (you will find a post about this code and how to search for your date if you search VJ for 'how to track by DHL' and follow the instructions)- I figured it out quickly- and found all the packs that were sent out on the date the NVC said they sent mine- you will see a list of all the countries and mine got there in 4 days, delievered to London and signed for (all on the DHL site) it took DHL four days to send to every embassy all over the day- it seems to be a standard time- so just find out from NVC when they sent it and add 4 days to the date!
London got my packet three to me v quickly after that!

Tomorrow I am off to the Ukraine. It has been 4 1/2 months since I have seen Alyona. 36 hours and I again can give her a huge hug and kiss.

congrats to the new approvals! back in the states without my honey so hate all this! did the whole cry like a baby at the airport and hormones really don't help out much! had a miserable trip home because of the bad storms on the east coast yesterday! didn't get home til 3:30 this morning, the same time graham was catching his flight to london for his medical exam! one step closer!!! it was so nice to see him for the week and for him to see the bump (which i think doubled in size cause of his moms cooking lol) but so hard to leave again! not much longer i hope at least! fingers crossed for everyone to get approvals and have their SO's back in their arms where they belong!

I've got a question to ask... Forgive me if it's stupid, but I have to admit that I haven't familiarised myself as much as I should have with what happens after NOA2. Michael got the NOA2 in the mail yesterday, and told me it says that our petition is being forwarded to the Consulate. Now, I thought NVC came first... I told him to call NVC tonight and make sure he gets our new case number, as well as info as to where the petition is now. If it has been already forwarded to Naples, I'll get in touch with the Consulate ASAP, and ask them to send me Packet 3 via email.

I did, yes, I just neglected to stick it on my sig timeline.

If I didn't have to make copies of it and keep it handy, I'd frame it.

Raff, it only makes a brief stop over at the NVC before it's off to the Consulate. I would say it's very likely your approved petition is at your Consulate. I'd call DOS.

Luis' brother is closing down one of the factories in his business, so Luis is going to have to move closer to the new factory and disconnect his phone line for a while (he'll still have the cell - but it's EXPENSIVE to call his cell). They're planning on doing this in Sept/Oct so I'm hoping everything goes through before they move. That way instead of him moving ALL of his stuff to a new apartment, and then moving it ALL here, that he'll just have to move it here. Makes more sense, no?

Kim ~ you need to be approved, like yesterday. WTF is going on with them? I'm getting pretty aggravated! My diet is going good by the way, lost 6 pounds already. I have a lot more to go but hey it's a start.

My fiancé received packet 3 and no medical instructions and I e-mail the lady from the consular in Montevideo – Uruguay on Monday. Still no response …. I’m desperate and I don’t know what to do :S
I’m having anxiety attacks and my previous surgery is bothering and I have to go to the specialist and my company stills working on my health insurance…

I hope my day gets better… this morning I had an argument with a friend so… its hectic and we work together

You should try giving them a call, I have heard that some embassies / consulates don't respond very well to their e-mails (while others do). I would just explain that you feel that your packet was sent incomplete and if they could kindly send the medical instructions to your fiancee that would be great.

Good luck & I'm sorry about your surgery / fight with your friend. When it rains, it pours right? Don't worry things will get better.

I did the same thing! It's so frustrating to have to separate! I haven't been as bad as last time because he had to go back to do his thing to be here forever. He told me just think of it like I'm taking a business trip for a couple of months and I'll be home soon.

How do people get to talk to the representatives at USCIS???
What number do we have to press??

My fiance has called USCIS trying to talk to a representative but unless our case has been
30 days beyond the processing time, it seems like there is no way for us to get to a representative....

Any advice/comments will be greatly appreciated, thanks.
