Where are all the VSC approvals????? It seems as though they are taking a break from the K1's lately. I realize we're a VERY small percentage of all those who file but after watching January and February filers fly through, you would think we'd see the March filers being approved all over. I hope it picks up again soon. Right now it's looking like 6-8 weeks is average. I'll take that but 4 would be better!

Still no hardcopy. but the bank did check the cheque and gave us a bunch of crazy ### numbers. we know it must be EAC because we filed at VSC. but the other sets of numbers they gave must be wrong because they dont work .

and the chick that tol dus it says 'alt34' is clearly off her rockets

Nico.. They stamp it "For Credit to U.S. Treasury" then there's a set of numbers under that, set of numbers under that then a line and then...under that is the EAC number. All this is from one stamp. There's a bank stamp as well as another that says for receipt only or something like that. I don't know what she's talking about alt34. Strange that you haven't received the hardcopy yet. Wonder if you will.

Is it unusual for them not to touch a case until soon before they approve it? i see so many people who were touched within a week or two after submitting and still nothing for ours...its been 20 days so far. i just really want to know that it is WITH someone and not gathering dust in a closet...ahh!

Many, many people are approved without ever seeing a touch.

ALL a touch means is that your file was moved. Some files just never have to be moved until the adjudicator starts processing them.

Not to worry. A touch really doesn't mean anything. A touch means they scanned the barcode on your file for one reason or another... could be anything... even if they just went to lunch. It seems some adjuticators/workers scan more than others. You can only tell if you're touched if you check your date on the uscis website. You will not receive an email. Read this thread if you're interested in learning more about how it all works.

Hi Susy, we got the hardcopy noa1 today.... or errr in the past couple of days anyway. It's very 'official' looking! i know that it doesn't mean much right now but it still put a smile on my face.

I saw on the news last night that the government refund checks are coming in three different bulk shipments...sorted and deposited by ss#. Can't remember what the dates or numbers were but that probably explains it!

Before i was so worried about my papers... my fiancee he said sent it on the month of feb. We both worried where our papers. But on April 25/2008 we received NOA1. We received hard copy, and said there, they received our papers April 15/2008. And they issued receipt april 21/2008, and money has been cashed. We received NOA1 on hand april 25/2008. Can you imagine how long we been waiting for NOA1 with so much stressful. Well i hope you can receive noa1 soon... just more patient, your papers will be fine soon...

How does one find out there's an NOA on your case before Vermont mails it? Is there a number to call?

Susy, I have every kind of photo editing software you can imagine if you'd like me to try to see it. Although, i'm sure your hardcopy is coming soon.

SterlingGirl.. NOA (notice of action) is really just a VJ term. If you didn't sent with confirmation then you will first know they've received it when they cash your check. On the back of your check you'll find your EAC08XXX5XXXX number that you can then register with the USCIS website.

OK thats weird guys.. my hard copy has not come! Would they cash the check and not send? Is everthing ok? When you guys log on to the USCIS does it say NOA1 ? Mine only says received and pending. OK, Im babbling and paranoid... Can ya tell??

Don't worry! NOA1 is only a term used on VJ. Received and pending is what it should say right now..

Next you'll see Request for Evidence Sent or Approval Notice Sent

You should receive a hard copy of the NOA1 soon. If you don't you can call and ask them to resend. Since the check is cashed and you have your receipt number, it's not a big deal.

The form I got in the mail says Notice of Action in the top right corner. On the USCIS site, for me it says: Case received and pending.

Tomorrow is three weeks sent for us already. Hard to believe. Guess it helps that i'm super busy all the time. Hopefully VSC will keep kicking those approvals out and we wont be waiting too much longer.

It's a beautiful day here in good old Pennsylvania. I'm loving this 90 Visa Waive right now, not had this much relaxation time in over 10 years!! Nothing moving for us right now on the NOA front but there is plenty of time, I don't leave to go home till June 11th so we're praying it is here by that time.

And for anyone who is interested we had our first appointment with the Doctor yesterday since we found out Megan was pregnant. She's approx 8 - 9 weeks pregnant and we've got the first ultrasound tomorrow at 1.45pm, I'm so excited. Then we've got our 12 week appointment on June 2nd at 4.30pm and the lady said we will b able to hear the baby's heartbeat that day, I know I'm going to cry when they do that!!!
