Hello,

I sent an inquiry email to NVC on March 25th to see if they had received the documents from USCIS California. I read that I would have to pay a fee to NVC for document verification. Maybe this is not required because Today I got this email(I have omited a few small items):

Good day,

Your inquiry has been received at the National Visa Center (NVC). The
NVC has completed its processing of the visa petition you mentioned in
your letter and has forwarded the petition to the assigned US
Embassy/Consulate General for further processing.

Any further inquiries should be directed to the assigned US Embassy or
Consulate General.

You shouldn't have to pay anything more at this stage. You do have upcoming costs regarding the visa interview such as visa cost, medical report, police report and translations of various documents for preparing to eventually arrive in America. Congratulations on getting this far with your sanity. The end is near.

Now you'll have to wait a couple weeks for the Embassy to process the incoming papers. If you make an inquiry before that time, they might say that they have not received it as yet. Don't worry, they have. They just take a little time to process it. After a week or two, email them:Embassy Email. They will immediately send a confirmation and then it takes 3 days or so to get a response.
They seem to have accurate information as opposed to calling them, which is expensive and not very helpful in my experience.
I got my interview date by emailing them, which was not yet posted on their website ( they are taking two weeks or so to update that list).
You can find the list here: Interview Schedule As someone just said, it is time for you and her to get the documents together.

IMPORTANT- In my opinion, and thanks to Bobalouie, I found out that it can take up to two months for her to get her police records. I would have her go and start that process ASAP.

Good Luck!

Now you can e-mail the embassy every day asking for updates.

Hell, more than that! GMail has no limit on the outgoing number of emails I send!

Yeah, and I just saw today they added a new feature where you can back-date your messages.

"I sent you guys that message three weeks ago. Where's my reply?"

And mox.... Pitcairn Islands??? They must be getting pretty harsh with the mail-order-bride stuff in OT. Oh, I get it. If you really want to be taken seriously then slap a Canadian flag on there!
