We just got our NOA1 for 3/24/2008!
I have a question, though: we tried to get the case registered with Case Status Online on the USCIS site, and it doesn't recognize it. I am pretty sure I have read others talking about getting touched so I am assuming we -are- able to utilize CSO with an I-571. How long did you guys find it took USCIS to get your Case Status up and running so that you could access it? Thanks!

I received my letter of receipt (NOA1) today and was able to access the USCIS Case Status ok. From the main USCIS website, I needed to click on the "Case Status Online" link. Next, I created a customer portfolio account. I assume you have already done this. Log in to your account. Then add a case to your portfolio. They want your Application Receipt Number. This is the "Receipt Number" on the notice of receipt letter you received. I did notice that I had to enter the receipt number without the dashes but including the letters in front. (Example: ABC1212312345)
I hope this helps.

I did all that, but when I entered my case number WAC####etc, it said there were no matches. I just thought maybe it takes some time for them to get em in to the system sometimes and wondered what other people experienced. Thanks.

You won't be able to track an I-751 online until after your biometrics. When you receive the biometrics appointment letter, it will reflect a different case number and that's the case number you will be tracking.

As a side note,at my infopass appointment yesterday to get my passport stamped, the immigration officer was able to write down my 'trackable' receipt number for me... I entered that online and it works great.

I don't remember, it's been over a year (and still no 10 year card). For the N-400 (citizenship app.), we got the NOA1 in the mail and that day I tried the case number and it works. Tom has his biometrics today, and I seem to recall for the I-751 also, that he didn't have to wait until after the biometrics to check online.

the same here-was able to track online only after biometrics and only biometrics NOA number worked.

I received my NOA last week with an untraceable "WAC" receipt number. Today, I received my biometrics appointment letter with the same "WAC" application number. I thought I'd be able to track my account online once I got my biometrics letter. Is this normal?
I applied through Nebraska and my service center is now showing as WSC, if that helps.

I was able to track online only after I did fingerprits-next day or so. It was about 1 month ofter NOA1. So, maybe it takes them months or so to enter case into system. Or they do it after actual fingerprints are taken.
