i'm just wondering - from what i read, ppl send a Package 3 first and then they get their interview date but i got the letter from the embassy without sending anything....is it normal? this is how the Russian embassy works?

There is no packet 3 from Moscow. They set the interview time and send you the documents that you need to fill out and bring with you to the interview. So, yes, it is normal.

Yeah that is normal! They send 1 letter! It took us 4 weeks after it left the nvc to get the letter in the mail! Be patient you will get it soon and good luck with your interview!

From this point on, you should steer clear of the other forums. Moscow has a lot of specific things that are done differently than other embassies.

We've had several recent interviews (and successes!) in this forum and the people here will more than update you with what you need. If you have an interview scheduled already, this is the place you need to be because time is short.

Read all you can and ask as many questions as you can.
