Please help!
My boyfriend is green card holder- he won on lottery! I came in USA as a tourist. What is gonna happened with me when we get married? We are planning to do that in USA.
What kind of visa I can get? Do I have to wait 5 years for a green card? Am I legable to work during that time?
thanx

You can get married when you come into the US on a tourist visa but, since your (soon to be) spouse is not yet a USC, you cannot apply for AOS. You will have to leave on or before the date your I-94 expires. Your husband will then file an I-130 for you and you have to wait for an immigrant visa number to be available to you.

Diito to the above.

You might want to see if you can qualify for any other visa, work, lottery for yourself for example.

How long has he held his Green Card? He should be eligible for citizenship after holding the Green Card five years. He can send the paperwork off up to 90 days before he reaches his five year anniversary of Green Card status.

It may be that the fastest route to status for you is to marry, have him file an I-130, and have him become a citizen. Once he is a citizen, he can upgrade the I-130 to be handled as a citizen-filed petition. There would be no waiting for an immigrant visa number, since at that time, you'd be the spouse of a US Citizen.
