Greetings!

I have a question regarding the following documents that i have
to send to NVC:

I have the original marriage certificate certified by the Minister of External
affairs of Nicaragua. I also have my wifes Birth Certificate
also certified by the Minister of External affairs. Can i use a copy of
the translation of this documents that i already sent to USCIS in this process?

I have a scan of her Nicaraguan passport, i already printed this in color.
I also have her 2 Passport Style Pictures printed.
The police certificate will be requested when i pay and submit the Affidavit of Support
It is also needed to request a translation for the police certificate document?

I also know that you have to write on all documents that you send to the NVC
case number, in any place of the documents or in the back?
Can it be written with a pencil?
Does my wife needs to sign and date all documents?

Thanks

I think that if your original documents are in the same language
as the country the embassy is in, you do not need translations.

well what i did for writing case numbers on document i used return address lables ( blank) and cut them in half and then stuck to top right and wrote case number on that so when you get them back you just peel off and no damage to doc. or pencil is fine as long as you have case number on all paper

it looks like you need certified copies of traslated doc. if thats what you sent to uscis then they will do
good luck

As per the DOS web site for Managua, Nicaragua:

Translations

All documents not in English, or in the official language of the country in which application for a visa is being made, must be accompanied by certified translations.

So if yours are in some other language besides English or Spanish, you need translations for them.

The Police Certificate will be needed when you send in your DS-230 which is generated after the NVC processes your DS-3032. Not when they process the AOS.

I wrote the case number in pen on the upper right hand corner of each document.

ok exellent
So i dont need translations for the documents, since the embassy
knows spanish and the official language in Nicaragua is spanish.

I have another question, i received today my NOA2 for the I130
i noticed that where my wifes name is in the upper of that it says A089 XXX XXX
Its that the ALien Registration NUmber?

If its that, i suppose that i need to put that on the form I-864 AOS Document, in Part 2
Field # 6. Alien Registration Number???????

Thanks for all yor time and help
Milton y Claudia
today i called NVC and system told me
"...This case was entered in the NVC computer system on _3/31/08. The case number assignned by the NVC is (Case #MNG2008xxxxxx). Please allow 6-8 week from this date for the beneficiary to receive the documents"

My question is can my wife email now For the change on the Choice Of Agent DS3032?

Or do i have to wait until i hear the other message?
"...NVC will mail...the beneficiary..." OR "DS3032 and AOS Fee Bill has been generated on________"???

The documents go to the NVC IF your consulate is an appointment post and I think would need to be translated. If your consulate is not an appointment post, you may not need to have translations because you would take the documents to the interview at the consulate.

You should check if your consulate is an appointment post.

Yes, that is her Alient Registration number and that is the number you can enter in Part 2, field 6 of the I-864 form.

No, you need for the NVC to let you know when a document or bill has been generated. You should never send it before then since it might delay your process. Please read James' shortcuts in detail so you know how the process works at the NVC.

I sent my DS3032 early (before the generated phone respnse) and it was NOT accepted. The NVC did send me a response that they recieved the Choice of Agent request but said that they "could not accept it at this time". It won't delay your case, they will just let you know if they are able to accept it or not. If not, then you can try again after it is generated. no big deal.

I didn't know it's the Alien Registration number. Is it optional or required to enter it into I-864/I-864EZ? Currently, I just write N/A.
