I am trying to figure out when to call the call center for our interview. I don't want to waste a call (since the $18 charge) just to be told to call back later.
i have checked the DHL delivery and the package is still in the DHL facility.
If I call the visa center will they be able to tell me if the paperwork is ready ?

Sorry, I dont know to answer your inquiry.. but would just like to say maybe we will be having the same schedule for interview as we have similar timeline..

I would call the NVC and get your NVC case number. Wait about a week after the NVC sends it to the embassy then call and get your pin to schedule your interview. The pin can be used 3 times before having to get another pin. I had to use our pin 2 times already because the first interview date I chose wansnt good for my fiancee. When the interview was scheduled they asked for my fiancee's email address and emailed her the interview info and number. She printed this to take to the interview and medical incase its needed. I was told when I called the embassy they dont mail the packet anymore so dont wait for it.

I was able to call the USEM 4 times with the same pin number even though the recorded message says it will only work 2 times, not sure if and when they will update their system when they figure they are losing potential revenue from this. Call about 1-2 weeks after the USEM received your packet. Good luck.

Since you already said you track it thru DHL..just wait until you are sure that Embassy has your papers...I'm on the same boat, it's still in the DHL facility. I will call the embassy maybe later today or tomorrow, to make sure that they have our papers in their hands (buy a phone card, call embassy directly)..then that's the only time I will call the Call Center to set-up my interview...Just a waste of money if you call now & don't even know if they have your file in the embassy's system.
