My husband sent me copies except for the notarized copy of our Affidavit of Support (I-134)

My husband sent me original copies . The Packet 4 specifically states that original documents must be presented during the interview, but according to some of the replies they only submitted copies of the documents you enumerated and they were good so I believe its okay. Nonetheless, if your petitioner is able to send the original copies, then tell him to do so.

I also submitted copies except for the notarized AOS and the certificate of employment in company letterhead. My prescreener only asked for the I-134, form 1040, and the certificate of employment. But like what everyone says here, gather as much evidence and support as you can cuz u'll never know what they'll be asking for. Good luck on your interview smile.gif

You can also go online to the IRS to request tax transcipts for up to 3 years and they would be original printouts.

How does one send original copies when my fiance filed his income taxes using turbo tax for the last 15 years. He's got printed copies of all the tax forms. All the w-2's are saved as well.

hi mike and zandy...so you mean, you just send the a copy?not the originals?

Even faxed copies will be accepted. Just make sure that you send the original I-134 Affidavit of Support with the notary public stamp & signature as well as your signature. So basically, if you're already sending the original I-134, just xerox your W-2, IRS forms, pay stubs, bank statements, life insurance papers, mortgage papers, 1099, etc. However, I would send the original employment letter and the original statement of account from your bank. (Keep copies of those for yourself).

Good luck!

If the petitioner meets the above poverty level of income, it is okay already to not to submit bank statements, assets, mortgage.

If meets the above poverty level of income, the following is good already:
Signed and notarized I-134
Tax transcripts from IRS (2005, 2006 , 2007)
W2 (is not necessary if you already provide the tax trancripts)
Employment letter from employer stating job title, date started, salary , and status (full time/ part time)
at least 3 recent pay stubs before the interview

Hi here, your wife looks familiar to me, did she go to school at St. joseph's college?
