Full Version: Police Records - Linked to DVLA?

I am sending for my police report today – and I just wondered what happens with regards to driving offences. I have had points added to my driving licence for speeding over the course of my driving history – I currently have 3 existing points for this.

Also, I was recently stopped by police because I answered my cell phone whilst driving (naughty I know) I was fined £60 and had 3 points added to my licence. The officer who stopped me assured me that since I would pay the fine, it would go on my DVLA record and not my police record, but since this record we apply for is full disclosure, I assume it will be on there.
Has anyone had any experience with police records showing DVLA information, and could it cause me any problems?

OMG!!! You will never get your visa now, sorry Kelly its all over for you!

Teehee, sorry, it will only show if you have been convicted of a driving offense - been to court etc. Points just go on that silly paper counterpart and then disappear in 2 years time. So you will be fine. HOWEVER on another note STOP DRIVING SO RECKLESSLY!!! jest.gif

(If you get a driving ban - obviously you would have to go to court and that would show, same as if you hit someone and drove off ... but points on their own don't count until you get 12)

So when filling out forms in packet 3 if there is a speeding offense with 3 points do you list that for the question where it asks about offenses and convictions?
