I faxed the consulate march 7 my packet#3 and still waiting for packet #4. I hope it comes soon but there seems to be alot of us and there was two holidays. I guess i just need to be paient. Hope we all get something soon.

A question for you...

For packet 3, step 1, did you send these documents:

DS-230 Part I
DS-156 (2 forms - electronically completed)
DS-156K (hand written? )


And then for packet 3, step 2, you sent them the checklist ONLY?

Is that right?

it is to be signed at the interview

I haven't gotten mine yet either and I've emailed them a few times about it. I sent mine about a week after yours! I hope we both get appointments soon!

Yes, I did read it in K1 forum.
I was just confused by this 156K form

It was listed under STEP 1 like this:

'Complete the single copy of the Form DS-156K, Nonimmigrant Fiance(e) Visa Application'

But it never said to either send it back in STEP 1 or keep it till the interview.

My Packet 3, Step1

Only asked for DS-230 Part1

and both DS-156 are part of step2 for me.

It depends on where you're having your interview. In Montreal they ask you to send all your copies in by mail. In Vancouver we have to fax them in. That's the difference. I'd advise you to follow the Packet 3 instructions to the letter.

yes some peiople get confused, as they think the k1 process is the same for both Mtl and VAN, which it isnt!! Why ? who knows why they have to differ!!

Well I just emailed them again and hopefuly i will get a response on Monday to one of my emails. Hope you all get your appoinment letters soon too!

It makes me a little bit sad though, if your date was the 28th, then there's no way mine will be on the 10th. I was still really hoping for that.

Thank you! But don't feel discouraged as it was one of the dates i picked. I gave them three dates. I got it by email. Actually I sent them an email about 5 days ago and hadn't heard anything so I emailed them today and in a matter of about 5minutes i got one back telling me of my interview date. I think they only answer emails on Mondays and Firdays. I change my subject line first though. I put Attention KVisas:My Name,Case#. You should get yours really soon.
