Hi,
VCS accepted our pettiton on Feb. 26, biometrix was done on March 18. USCIS site says NOA was sent Feb. 26... It's been a month but nothing arrived...
We are planning some travel in May (conditional GC expires on May 18) but we need to get a visa first. Therefore we need extention documents right away. Can we schedule an appointment for the stamp in the passport (since it is most probable that nothing will arrive prior to expriration date...) or THEY do it strictly when conditional GC expires?
Thanks!

Schedule the infopass and take along proof of your travel plans showing that you will be out or close to expiry during that time. Let's hope you receive your 10 year card before then, but if not you should be able to get the stamp. Good luck.

thanks, but we can't take this way. if we schedule our trip too much money would be on the line to be dependent on USCIS whims.
so has anybody stamped their passports with I-551 before their conditional card expired????

Obender,
I had my biometrics today and my case was transferred to Vermont from Texas on March 12. They said that they sent a notice regarding the transfer, but up to date I haven't gotten one yet. I even don't have my extension letter and my greencard will expired on May 18. I have to have an extension letter before the expiration so I can also renew my drivers license. I really need a drivers license because got life and a job compare to this lazy pigs at the USCIS service centers, don't know why they're so slow. Sorry about my language.
