Full Version: What is an IV Bill?

I already sent my 129F (K3). In the packet I included a copy of the same AOS that went with the I-130. If I am right I should not anticipate receiving this"IV Bill" that keeps getting tossed around in discussions. I've checked the guides and FAQs and cannot find what it is and why one gets sent one by the USCIS. The only reference to this"IV bill" is on the various posts on VJ.

Thanks

Gracey.

It is the fee you will pay to NVC if you pursue the CR/IR-1 visa as a result of your approved I-130 and not if you are pursuing the K-3 visa as a result of your approved I-129F.

Gracey,

The IV Bill only applies to CR1/IR1 visas for cases being processed by they NVC after the I-130 has been approved by the USCIS. You filed for a K3 visa, so the NVC should not send you the IV Bill.

I just don't understand why you would send an AOS with your I-130/I-129F when it was not needed.
