So I was a student last year in the US didn't work so I have no income...school ended in Dec I didn't go back to school in Jan....Found out we were pregnant like a week after school started.....We got married on Feb 14th.....When it asks when you ceased to be a resident of canada what do I put ?? do i put our wedding date ?? If i do that do I have to refile next year with the Canadian government? My husband will obviously be claiming me next year and the baby since I won't be working.
Thanks again

When did you officially change your address with the post office? When did you move all of your belongings over intending to stay rather than intending to return to Canada? When did you officially file to change your residency to the US? Those are all possible dates you can use. A student residence is usually considered to be temporary with a permanent residence somewhere else - however, the is not always the case and depends on the individual. Did you maintain any type of a Canadian mailing address? and if so, when did you change that? That might be a useful approach.
