After being accused of submitting forged documents when giving them i-130, terrible interview for my wife, 221g Administrative Processing, tons of irrelevant documents being requested. Visa was approved. 3 months and 6 days from filing.

Actually met with congressman personally yesterday and he said he would send email last night. They would have received email at 8am. Approval email came at 8:34. Coincidence?

Regardless, whatever. I dont care. Actually have business to attend to in stockholm next week so will have a nice Scandinavian holiday with my girl and BRING HER HOME! It dosent matter if we do POE together does it??

Congratulations! It is funny what we think of as a 'long' time in the DCF process considering what the people who do this from the US go through!

I know. This is really sinking in. I REALLY FEEL for those waiting and waiting and waiting. I could barely stand one month. was basically incapacited.. drinking to much,, couldnt get my mind to go anywhere else. Unfortunately my brother was married to a russian woman a little over a year ago and they just last week received i-130 and i-129 approval.

I know what you mean, the process is tough on everyone, just in different time frames - to get everything done in the last couple of months, we have pretty much had to eat, drink and breathe all the paperwork, the running around for Police Certs, etc. I soooo hope that we will get the visa on Thursday, I think I will be heartbroken if this gets delayed! (Good to see that even with a 221g, you guys still managed to do it in 3 months and 6 days!)

wow,,, if you get your visa approved at interview that will put your whole process at less than 2 months. Had we not received the damn 221g we would have been at 7 weeks from filing to approval.

I wonder what the world record for fastest DCF visa is? (on this forum that is)!!!

If we get approved on Thursday, it will be 8 weeks and 1 day. I think some consulates are even faster, but I am not unhappy with the time frames. If I had been even more thorough in my VJ research, I could have sped the process up a tiny bit, MAYBE, but probably not. (Maybe we could have gotten the interview on the 1st of April rather than the 3rd! Come to think of it, it is probably better this way, who wants the interview on April Fool's Day!

If you don't mind my asking, why was the interview so rough, and what were you 221g'd for?

The American Embassy staff are some of the most unprofessional and rude people on this planet. I think they create more trouble than they are worth. Unfortunately, they rule with impunity. Only the extremely mishandled cases are dealth with by a supervisor or outside authority (congressmen & senators). All the rest of us, who are jerked around (althouth to a lesser degree) never complain for fear they will deny out cases out of retaliation.

Submitted I-130 on mar. 17th, in lima, peru..Approved mar 18th..received packet 3 and 4 0n april 9th with visa interview date of april 21 at 8:30am..Medical in the morning..I think that is 34 days from submission to the interview date.
