Hi

I submitted my forms I130 for husband and daughter on the 14th March and have not heard anything from them and have not been charged on credit card.

Should I be concerned?

I called and they were not able to tell me if they got it or not but i see on other people's timeline that they recieve word 4-5 days after mailing papers.

What should I do? Just wait and see?

Is there a number that I can call to give me the info as to whether it was received? I emailed them and no answer yet...

Of course you all can imagine the suspense is KILLING ME...

Thanks for any input. wacko.gif

The 2007 thing might be a problem. My DCF was returned after a week the first time, b/c my entry stamp showed only that I had been in the UK since 7 January 2008. I had to show my old entry stamp that showed I had been in the UK since late September 2006.

All that said, when I sent it back in around 25 February 2008, they charged my credit card and never acknowledged receipt of the I-130! As another poster said, the London embassy seems to be a bit bad about giving confirmation of receipt. I think you should just keep checking your credit card account online. They will either send you back your application or charge your credit card...the latter is, of course, what you want! But 14 March is soon! Be patient! smile.gif

GOOD LUCK! I am with you on the suspense. My wife and I are on pins and needles waiting!

Thanks for the help. But i was looking at your time lineand they responded to you in 2 days. I have not heard anything yet not even a charge on the credit card.
I had the forms returned to me as well asking for more evidence and sent it back with everything they asked for and they returned that with a few days after i sent it.
well all i can do is wait and hope that they have it and all is well..
Poiteen
did you send the package registered mail? You should check the tracking on the package to make sure that they received it.
klemmers
well... i just got back copies and addtional documents that I had snet to the Embassy to show that I have been here since 2007. They also sent back copies of the application I 130 and the G 325A for husband and daughter. What does this mean?

They kept the originals and the credit card form. Does this mean that it is being processed?

At least I know they got it...

Any thoughts..

What do you mean you got "back copies." That sounds strange. The process, as I understand it, is to send in copies and keep the originals with you at all times. Again, I never received a confirmation, but my credit card was charged in late February, about a week after i sent in the I-130 packet.

Im aalso in the same boat and am please to see you got started it has put my mind at rest (atleast a little at least for now)

this may be very naive. I am in the process of getting a K-1 visa and am curious as to what credit card charge everyone is referring to. I have not given a credit card and am worried that I have missed something.....please help.....thanks.
klemmers
The charge is for processing the I-130 application. I am not sure about the K-1 and what charges are involved. I would check online to see if there is a cost for the visa process and when it is expected.

Hope this helps!!!

This is the DCF Forum, which is only for CR-1/IR-1 applications. None of the info in this section of VJ will apply to you, so don't sweat it good.gif

Well done Klemmers!! London doesn't usally take that long, but I suppose they musta had a long Easter break or something wink.gif

Hi All.

Well i had my interview yesterday and was approved , Yey.

As for the rest of the time line it took us 3 1/2 months to get the approved I-130 back and then 3 months till interview but i was held up because of my police cert taking so long to get.

I know there has been some discussion on here as to what police cert you can use?? I got the 1 which was £10 and took 40 day but i followed the instructions from packet 3 when i got it. If they send you the packed 3 and it has changed to this new type then follow that, either way i would follow the details on how to obtain all relevant documents from packet 3.

when i send back my forms to say that i was ready i waited about 2 weeks till i got the interview appointment which was 2 weeks later.

I arrived early at the embassy and waited 2 hours to get in, but it was quite smooth when inside took 30 mins to complete.

they said it can take up to 5 days to get my passport back but it came the next day.

This is only time line and I'm sure that others may vary as to how busy the embassy is at the time etc.

so good luck to all and hope this info will help you.

Hi

Just wanted to know if ayone had experience with that Immigration Timeline on this site and how acurate it is with the dates???

Thanks
belperman26
Hi,

I don't think there is a timeline for DFC because each embassy would receive different amounts of applications etc, but there is now quite a bit of info on this forum page.

which part of the timeline do you want to know, i can tell you how it went for me. not saying that it would be exactly the for every one.
klemmers
well on this site my timeline says it will be finished around July 3rd 2008. I just wanted to know how accurate that was.

thanks

I had this problem. I think the timeline doesn't really work for DCFers, but the program tends to pick a US center where it thinks the visa application will be processed. It's a program really made for people applying in the US....not for DCF. The best way to estimate is to keep an eye on the embassy website for your processing time. When yours comes up, you should get Packet 3.
belperman26
Hi,

I agree. I kept looking at the info on the embassy website, I saw it was taking about 3 months to process the I-130 . I filed in 26 sept ( money was taken) and we got packet 3 on the 3rd of jan 08 , Christmas was in the way lol. So i guess Klemmers that you could expect packet 3 around Mid june if you got the money taken mid March

Packet 3 onwards , well if you have all the required documents and send the checklist and ds-230 part 1 at the same time packet 4, 2-3 weeks?? from then and the interview week or 2 from then??

Hope every thing works out for you, I know i hated the not knowing and the waiting that felt like forever.

Do you have your police cert on the way now?
