WOW! Holy Cow...according to the spreadsheet there were FIVE approvals out of VSC this last week...that we know of because obviously there were more...it gives me a little hope...

at least 2 were from expedites though.... At least they are processed!!!

Does anyone know if, with the holiday in the US, VSC is expected to be operational on Monday and/or Tuesday?
(Of course some folks have seen some touches on Sundays as well..)

Federal government offices are closed on Monday but open on Tuesday.

Wow... Love the timeline! For some reason it makes me feel a little better....not much but some. I read the article that they hired alot of new people to help expedite things.. hummmm we'll see.

This is a wonderful thread! We will be filing next week (then I can be on the spreadsheet too!) This has given me an idea what to expect. Thanks for all your hard work.

What's going with CSC.....The approvals have stopped now....I don't see any activity till 5/19/2008.....I can't wait till Delicia gets approval....She is the next in line at CSC....

Is there no other updates to the spreadsheet? It says last update 05/23/08. Is everthing OK? Is Delcia OK? Did something happen?

that is a good question, she has not been on here in a while. Maybe she is taking some time off from this website. It is a positive website, but seeing others who filed after you getting approved is difficult to watch.

I am taking a break. Things are sucking very much for me personally right now and waiting on USCIS is just further burdening me negativity. There was no approvals after 5/23 last week until today, I saw one. I will update the sheet today or tomorrow, work permitting.

Sorry to hear that...take a break...relax...not a big deal. It is just that you are usually the bubbling force behind this thread and I hadn't seen a post in a bit.

I spoke with our attorney today and nothing on our petition. The trial attorney for the government had stated previously in DOJ court that my husband was not eligible for green card application because first marriage was fraudulent, so the attorney filed a motion to pre- termit our application. Our lawyer received motion a month ago, it was just one page, and the attorney argued my husband was not eligible for 245I, but did not mention previous marriage was a fraud or anything else for that matter, so our lawyer sent out his argument/brief, stating counsel did not mention any good reasons for the pretermit (sp?), therefore he doesn’t think we will hear anything more on it. I am actually kinda glad that the government attorney did do that so now it won't be hanging over our heads anymore.

Our lawyer also said that currently there is a lawsuit about I-130 petitions, and that when it involves someone who is in removal proceedings, they should be put on top of the HUGE pile at the service centers because these people are facing deportation, and because they have to wait immense amounts of time for their I-130 to be cleared and transferred to their local office, it is clogging up the court systems. So we will see what effect this court case has. Not that it will probably do anything to help us...our case will probably be transferred before that case ever gets resolved.

Anyways, our lawyer says it makes no sesne to call the customer service line, it doesn't move things along, but he did say that that if we do not hear back on the I-130 in the next 30 days or so he will draft a motion to the court asking for more time because we were supposed to go back in October for the next hearing in front of the judge. :waiting:

Yeah, another touch today. I am sure it is just CSC staff moving my file from the adjudicator's desk back to the queue shelf because the adjudicator spilled his Pepsi on it and wants the papers to dry out for a few more months before he deals with it.

You will get approval soon, don't give up if it is possible go visit your spouse that will get rid of you stress, I am planning to visit her in Aug since no word from VSC. Thanks for tracking the time line, I notice you took break for about a week if you can teach me how you get the new info and how to update the time line in google I will be more than happy to help. It's been updated. There has been a serious lack of activity on behalf of both service centers for over 2 weeks now....

No approval for you I see... I was sure that this would be the week for you. They eem to slow down when getting to close the the 15th of the month, when they post the "updated" processing dates. They don't want to give anyone hope of ever being approved, so they slow down the processing times...

I plan on doing some updates this evening after work. Unfortunately, for those of you with K-3 timelines, I will not add you. I use the VJ queries solely to populate the spreadsheet and am only querying the IR-1/CR-1 timelines. K-3s are an entirely different beast.

When you see a "Updated" in the web is a "Touch", right??

I fail to see what hasn't been updated. Please clarify. Are you perhaps looking at an old version (saved to your comp or something?) And unless you are paying me to keep the sheet updated, there is no need to be quite so demanding (and rude).

Delicia, sorry to see that you got RFE but look at the bright side. Once you submit requested documents, you will get an approval. You waited long time. You deserve approval sooner rather than later.

It's updated as of today. Grats on the recent approvals. Was nice to see some old timers get approved finally.

By the way, for anyone handy with a spreadsheet and a recent applicant (who expects to be hanging around awhile), I will be looking to give ownership of the sheet away to anyone who promises to keep it updated and pass it along when they are finished. Drop me a PM if interested.

Chet: the spreadsheet lists only CR1/IR 1 filers. You have a K-3 timeline.

Last call for someone to take over the spreadsheet.

I am finished with updated it and receiving negative PMs about it mostly from the K-3 filers who complain that what they really want is a CR-1 so therefore, should be listed. Others like to complain that there is no way the information is correct because VSC absolutely couldn't have a better average processing time that CSC (yes, people, I sit and spend my time off work making up data because I am just malicious that way).

I am finished with the board. It has become something horrible. It is no longer people sharing ideas and helpful advice. Good luck with your journeys.

Delicia... what you started here with this spreadsheet was a great way to see who is being approved and who is still waiting all in one place we can see the trends.
Some ppl complained.. or attempted to have you change something you'd already researched.. but what i want to say here is that you thru this spreadsheet helped far more ppl than you know. Unfortunately, not enough ppl stop and say, how beneficial your hard work was to them. I know it was to me and I can say it was one of the first things I'd take a look to everyday. People forget sometimes how to appreciate the work and the persons effort, you didnt have to do that.. but u chose to and thank you for doing it. As for the K-3rs the sheet is so good, they want to be a part of it!!
I hope you might reconsider and continue to update us a bit longer.. but if you don't have the time or want to move on.. certainly we can understand that too.

I am happy to continue with your spreadsheet Delicia, as long as people update me of their NOA1's, NOA2's etc via this thread. I don't have the time to chase updates in other topics/threads and I wouldn't be touching K3 dates. I have just started my journey so I will be around for a good while. Feel free to contact me as I'll need a brief spreadsheet info discussion.

Delicia, I am so sorry that people on this board have made you feel so bad about doing something that is helpful to all of us. That is not fair to you or those of us who do appreciate your hard work and dedication. I would volunteer. I am going to see my husband in Mexico next month, so there may be a few weeks where it is not updated, so If anyone else would like to jointly do the spreadsheet, I would be glad to help. I think there is a lot of negativity on this board, and people who feel as if they are entitled to things make me upset, but the overall purpose is to get through this terrible situation together with people who know the feeling of being alone in this process. Delicia, I hope that you will not leave permnantly, we are here for you and will continue to support you through this process.
